I don't agree with the 3-2-1 system. Often the best 3 players have played similar standard games, yet the 3 voter (usually the 'big name') gets the 3 votes.

I think the votes should be weighted, e.g. 6-5-4, so that there isn't such a discrepancy/unfair weighting between the 3 vote getters.

If one game summed up the absurdity of the Brownlow Medal it was this. If one game alone can finally instigate a change to this award, it should be this.

This is just another example of why the AFL needs someone running it who is not from the old boys network. So we are going to give a medal to the player who runs second! Largely in my view because Daicos has run second twice. God deliver us!

They couldn’t decide the winner so they are giving everyone a Participation medal.

You can all but guarantee that the AFL will ensure Naicos wins the Brownlow next season.

The AFL could compensate him by renaming the Brownlow Medal as the Nick Daicos Medal.

Remember all the Collingwood fans whinging that little Nick Daicos didn't win the Brownlow?
