Ashcroft back to back Norm Smiths by age 21 is pretty incredible.

Lions have been handed two Ashcroft brothers and Fletcher as father son. Played a big part in their premierships.

.

It's a midfielders medal.

Can't let the umpires vote on it anymore

...lol

Brisbane had plenty go wrong this year. Injuries, a ridiculously hard fixture, then losing the first final and Neale doing a calf.

To win despite all that is an elite achievement.

Geelong, meanwhile, have everything you could ask for and still [censored] the bed in the Grand Final. I absolutely love it.

People going on about the father sons Ashcrofts etc that’s one part the other is the clubs development and culture.. the talent they have under 21 is crazy , were they part of their academy ?

And they usually accrue half their points via Kardinia.

I think if the Dee’s ever get there , next year, and I get to go. I will be in grave danger of a heart failure. Go Dee’s

Would the cats be one of the Cubs to make the most finals and lose the most in last 15 years?

It's Game Day on Friday night. ANZAC Eve. The big stage at the ‘G. • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
