Gee if we end up paying part of his salary along with Clarry- we might end up getting MFC jumper sponsorship logos on opposition club jumpers- such is our charitable nature.

I assume we're still paying part or all of Gus's wage? And Goody. And (soon) Clarrie. At this rate if I want to watch a player on our payroll I'll be watching every side except us!

Hopefully a club comes for May late.

From what I have heard from someone close to May he doesn’t care if he plays at Casey next year, he will be on $900k too.

Doesn’t seem he is very motivated atm to put his best foot forward next yr if still with MFC and get back to his best.

At this point as we are going to cave on Petracca and Oliver + lost McVee. I am team get rid of May and hit the draft.

No excuses about lack of $ going forward though. A classic excuse now gone.

Trade Radio reporting that Steven May has been seen this morning at Adelaide Airport.

Would almost guarantee that this is golf related.

Big difference between this one and clarry. Would gladly see us pay a large portion to have him at another club. It’s one year, which we will pay either way and honestly May at Casey stops somebody else getting match practice.

Not sure but my source may well have got it from the forum.

It makes sense. Their backline is atrocious and there's nothing else on offer

Big wake up call to pull his head in.

I would so love to see him tried as a forward.

Will give him the send off he deserves. I dont for a moment regret keeping him around. He does need to get super fit, but suspect body is shot.

Perhaps this, and Matty Scarlett, are the interventions he needs to pull his head out of his rrrse. Goody gave him far too much lattitude

Stop drinking and fighting, stop pointing at others when you are part of the problem, and stop being a [censored] to your team mates, on and off the field. Show more humility.

That's advice we could all have been given at some point in our lives!

Dynamic will be very different with Mihocek and in particular, Steele around.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
