Are we not done yet with picking up the absolute worst players from Other teams.

Been our mantra since the premiership

Push out Clarry and send off Trac to give the young kids midfield minutes, to just recruit De Goey? does not compute

I agree!

Who's this de Goey fellow?

(I'm not a microwaver of membership cards - but for this I'm prepared to make an exception.)

He’ll either look like a genius, or has just signed his own death warrant. Either way it’s bold and I like it (not the return of TT - his behaviour against women is simply abhorrent).

That’ll go over well during their “Carlton Respects” round…

Yeah, he is. I read an article today that said a decision was made that he could be picked up as a free agent or go into the rookie draft (I think those were the options anyway). I was surprised when I read he was eligible again.

'Enough is enough': have Collingwood and the AFL acted to...

Jordan De Goey has faced several charges of violence against women during his AFL career, but was not stood down by his club until last weekend.

I think I'd nearly prefer him. Off field I think hes quite OK

Stinks of desperation to me. I’m glad we’re no longer making list-decisions with an under-the-pump coach in the room.

Not a rumour, but I read today that GWS would delist Conor Stone and re-rookie him as they juggle their tight list spots with Oliver coming in and Aleer unexpectedly staying.

Now being petty isn't a sound list management strategy, but it would bring me some level of joy if we pinched him from them in the rookie draft.

Surely we'd have to look at this for the Oliver pick?

We are off our heads if we don't get into this conversation quickly with that asking price. we've lost midfield depth and this is how you offset that.

Florent finished 7th in Sydney’s best fairest in 2024 - Sydney’s best home and away season in years.

The guy can play and is an immaculate shot at goal on the run, a bit like Bowey.

We should be in the conversations.

I got called a troll for saying we met with him days ago lol

And what’s the latest? Are we any chance?

Oliver for Florent is a bit easier to sell to the members.

Carlton knocked back the offer from the Swans. Do we swoop in an offer #7 for Florent?

Don't know anything more other than we met with him earlier in the week. Don't know if we are still interested given the media reporting we are getting Jiath.

Sydney told him to explore his options.

In no world is he worth a first round pick—we can swoop in and offer a 3rd rounder.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
