tacky, lacking class and a slight on neils character is how i see alot of the above comments.

take the man on his word, you have no reason not to.

he has and still does have the clubs best interests at heart.

the players should take some inspiration from neils selfless act and truely show what they keep saying about him.

wouldn't surprise me if they play gutsy, hard football till the end of the year.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTO you two. You've had your fun. <_<

The only BIG query I have over Voss is the fact that he's going to need a couple of years to REALLY get up to speed AT LEAST! If ANYTHING can be done to get past that teething period I'd like to see that it's pursued. If he can learn as MUCH as possible about coaching, and MFC's list such as it is, then I want us to go after him with everything we have.

If he's recruited after round 22, then I'd suggest we are going to have another disgraceful year in 2008.

But of course, the fact that he's still listed at Brisbane means the point is moot.

'So he contijnues to play favourites...'

i've never been that confident of myself to say i really know what goes on with the footy dept. or how they think.

it obviously appears to some people that there are some favourites; there very well could be.

but i wouldnt be so arogant to say there are and it's a bad thing with out knowing the reasons why.

fill me in.

It wouldn't suprise me at all to see Neil at the helm in Freo next year, I'm gutted to loose him the club will suffer without him and I can see things getting a lot worse before they get better, new coaches aren't a silver bullett, you only need to look at Richmond, Terry Wallace (how he escapes scruitiny is beyond me), St kilda, Carlton and these are only current examples.

Lets focus on actually finding a coach first (we are not making 2 minutes noodles!) and let someone who has served the Club well over long period of time finish with some dignity.

Well said Rhino

Anyone in favour of Demonland taking over selection till the end of the season?

I can see Newton pretty much captaining the side for 10 rounds if that was the case!

Please, please not brownlowbruce

We'd have Mclean playing in sandringham and Miller / Bruce joint captains.

But i guess we'd get the number one draft pick at seasons end 100%

ND admitted as much last year regarding Yze.

Depends how they perform next couple of rounds, if the wheels fall off completely perhaps he should go, but my general feeling is to stay till the end of the year. If he goes early put the assistant coach in to do the job, that is what they did in 96 when Neil Balme went, Greg Hutchieson did the job (and did it pretty well as I recall).

Tony Jones said on Ch.9 that there is no guarantee that Daniher will coach beyond the Essendon game on Friday.

I hope for the club's sake that he does.

Tony Jones is a ####wit, he knows nothing about what's ahppening behind the scenes of clubs, he just makes comments to try and get his name in the papers.

Has anyone noticed that Tony Jines does'nt cover football anymore...apart from anchoring the sports news, he's now a liestyle and human interest reporter. This is for a reason - hes never played footy is'nt involved in the "inner sanctums" at clubs, yet attempts to emulate craig hutchinson by being inflamatory and trying to break 'big' strores which are usually storms in teacups and invariably dont eventuate. Pual Gardiner is holding a press conference tomorrow midday.

Pual Gardiner is holding a press conference tomorrow midday.

Hopefully the conference goes something like this:

"We'd like to thank Neale for his services... bla bla bla"

"We're now looking into prospective coaches...bla bla bla"

"We won't be making anymore comments until a coach has been found...bla bla bla"

"Oh, and Chris Connolly will most certainly NOT be given an interview"

Please oh god somebody put me out of my misery about this Chris Connolly thing.

I'm now barracking for Freo to make the finals. Go Freo go! <_<

'ND admitted as much last year regarding Yze.'

what did he say and what was his reasoning behind that?

If it's what I'm thinking of it was along the lines of Yze being a matchwinner - a guy you stick with because he can virtually win games for you.

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
