  1. Hi, My son is 5 1/2 months old and has a junior demon membership, Aaron Davey keeps sending him emails to nominate a friend but as we live in Tassie have no friends who we can nominate to use the free games entry on offer. If you know of or have a junior demon (under 15 at 1 Jan 2008) fan in your family who would like to go to the footy for free let me know by reply post or message and I'll get in touch to grab the necessary details for a nomination. First in best dressed! I think other than a name and dob it asks for a postal address and an email address. I can send a copy of the email along with my son's membership details as it is entirely understandable if people don't want to give out personal details to a stranger over the net, especially when it involves kids. Copy of email as follows Hi James Do you have a friend who loves the Demons just like you? Well now you can be a great friend and give them a free membership card. I want as many Demons just like you to come to the games to watch me and the other boys kick a bag of goals. The Club are giving you another membership card for you to give to your friend – totally free. Now that is totally cool. All you need to do is fill in the form below and we will send your friend a membership, as long as they are under 15 years of age (as at 01/01/2008). They won’t get all the cool gifts like you but they can still come to the games, sit with you and cheer us on. Go the Dee’s, see you at the footy! Aaron Davey No 36 Click here to nominate a friend. Cheers GLLH
  2. What are the latest figures on Membership? last number I heard was 26,000. Also how did the big call up go last week (as shown on the footy show) what sort of numbers were pulled?
  3. Does sound similar but a freakish coincidence, although I'm sure some posters & readers will make more of it.
  4. Guess we'll have wait and see what transpires. I knew nothing of the Brad Miller "rumour", how do I find the Carlton message board?
  5. Wouldn't a worst team be better described as a team that had all the potential but achieved very little ah la St Kilda and Feo of late? I think what Melbourne has achieved shows what a good team they are consistently doing better than is expected over the last 10 or so years. The current crop of old and new is developing under a completely new coaching staff, we are having a rebuilding phase that will take 3-4 years but I don't think we are any worse than Carlton have been over the last 5-4 years.
  6. Unlike Jodie Power I'm not a sell out, my sources stay with me due to the sensitive nature of this information. Sounds like a [censored] but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what eventuates between now and draft time.
  7. Said no such thing, clearly you have taken offence to information that is from a very reputable source. Brad is a professional and is doing what he can now because it's what he is being paid to do. He might move on he might not at the end of the day it's just something for us to discuss and if anyone thinks it's anything more than this then good luck to them. But I wouldn't post something like this unless there was credibility to it and you will just have to believe me when I say there is credibility. Not sure the timing is all that important either.
  8. Not rumour mongering DD only posted it becuase I thought it was information that I came accross that would interest Demon fans. I would hate to see Brad leave but if we are fore warned we are fore armed!!
  9. "Apparently" or should I have said "Allegedly" nothing said about his character but thanks for the legal advice. How would you judge such a move? Surely it would be seen as a financial decision made over loyalty to a struggling team, especially if there is more money on the table.
  10. Judd? but seriously probably a first round draft pick ah la Travis Johnstone. Greeny & Cam Bruce are pretty tight so if one goes the other might follow?
  11. Word is that the Blues want Brad and Brett Ratten (who maintains close ties with Melbourne players after his midfield coaching role) has asked him not to sign anything until he and his management have discussed offers. Apparently Brad is ready to move on and at this stage in his career is favouring his wallet over team loyalty. Other interested parties include Richmond and at least one other Melbourne based club. I know he has his detractors but at this time should Melbourne players in the later part of their careers be looking for better opportunities else where and should the club be trying to retain experienced and talented players like Green? How much is he worth?
  12. 31 31 would be another option not because of Wheatly though was Barassi's number! Other reasons for 31 3 (Bartram) and 1(Buckley) = 31 3 (Bartram) x 10 (Morton) + 1 (Buckley) = 31 13 (Yze) reversed = 31 (Yze needs to turn it around)
  13. in that case if you have a Dream Team load up on Cats players as it will be a point scoring feast the likes of which have never been seen
  14. Chance of winning tatts is probably better than our chance of winning the premiership this year so get on it! More detail on how it woks would be good though, how much goes to the club?
  15. ?Richmond? Terry and the boys at tigerland must be glad that we are taking the heat off them? How long has Wallace had down there to rebuild the club and get it playing finals footy again? Dean Bailey has had 2 (albeit woeful) games and MFC is in ruin. If you ask me the big question in the AFL should be where is Richmond heading and when will Terry get the chop. I say it's about time the vultures in the media got off our back!
