I would guess it would have to be TMac's, unless we dropped a smaller defender to combat Naughton and Darcy more effectively? Baptism of fire for Adams, but glad he is finally getting a crack.

Tommy is listed... not on bench. Not him

For the life of me I've NFI why Campbell is on our list. He's older than Max, played 58 games at 4 clubs over 12 seasons, and has zero chance in being part of our next flag. AJ before TC every day.

If Max did his a serious injury, we’d have no mature 1st ruck cover

Pretty obvious need I would have thought

9th debutant in a year with not many injuries

Adams is great news!

I wonder who misses from last week? May sounded like we want another tall down back... The defenders on the bench are McVee and part timers Windsor and Petty.

Given we want McVee to re-sign It would be foolish to drop him 😢would it not 😭

They might just drop Sharp and make McVee sub?

Adams playing should be no surprise. Otherwise we'd be playing with only two tall defenders against a team with a tall forward line. Assuming we play 7 defenders as usual, the likely "out" would seem to be either McVee, because he's on the bench and hasn't really been playing particularly well, or Howes, who would be unlucky.

Of course, if Jefferson plays, then Petty could be the third tall defender and I have no idea what's going on.

If the Bulldoags only have 2 tall fwds how many tall backs do we need???

If the changes were Howes + T Mac out, (Petty to defence), Adams & Jeffo IN....I'd start campaigning for the Chaplin Era

Do we necessarily have to play follow the leader ? I.e. just because their fwd isn't super tall !!

Keep in mind Adams is very very quick , especially for his size.

Just a curiosity on my part .

Is it purely out of the interchange options? thought it could be anyone.

based on Chaplin interview and selection, it sounds like Jeffo might be back also.

Yeah, well why he didn't play last week was an absolute bloody disgrace!

I would have no hessitation in dropping Mc Vee he has been very ordinary this year

Interesting no Lindsay. Maybe they’ve decided to wrap up his season early. Get him set up for a big pre season.

Howes and T Mac was good down back and Petty dominated fwd

makes sense

5 first gamers this year.

Please dont count players that have previously played AFL games else especially when one especiallywill be delisted in 3 weeks time.

Edited by dazzledavey36

There are worse teams than us that have won after a coach sacking.

And for all those who were jumping off till Goody was gone I hope to see you there on Sunday if you aren’t at the snow yet.

Go dees!

One would hope our sub is NOT coming from the bench this week

Final changes

In: Adams

Out: Sharp

Windsor looks the most likely sub option looking at the bench. Adams would be an odd choice.

If Windsor is sub we should sack another coach this week

All i’m saying is there have been 9 players making their demon debuts this year which is factually correct.

Harry Sharp's last three months:

Round 10: Activated sub

Round 11: Subbed off

Round 12: Full game AFL

Round 13: Dropped, no game

Round 14: Played VFL

Round 15: Bye

Round 16: Activated sub

Round 17: Activated sub

Round 18: Dropped, played VFL

Round 19: Full game AFL

Round 20: Dropped, played VFL

Round 21: Activated sub

Round 22: Dropped, ??

In 12 weeks that's 2 full AFL games, 3 VFL games, 4 games activated sub, 1 game subbed off, and 2 weeks off, plus whatever comes this week.

Firstly, I'm not sure what we expect from him when we drop him and bring him straight back the next week. Secondly, how is he ever going to develop when he is yo-yoing between AFL and VFL, and playing completely different roles in each?

Nor should it be. TMac has been in good form and SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN DROPPED earlier in the season.

He should be offered another contract next yr too.

Best one-two punch in the league, so I think we need at least 3 talls in case one goes down or gets towelled up and one extra to intercept or come over the top to help spoil.

English likes to go forward as well, that's 3 towering forwards. Scary

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
