Canโ€™t complain about the umpires that quarter.

Rubbish.

It's part of the game.

Besides their tape measures are off again.

Roo has his back jumped on and Tmac gets held then pinged.

Well if the Saints are 12 - nil when behind at quarter time it will take a massive stuff up on our part to lose this.

It's a bit early to be confident about the Dees.

Disappointed that Gawn's hitout rate slowed a little. Halfwayt hrough that quarter he was on target for 100+

Still on the pace for a personal best, which would also be a top-10 all-time hitouts in a game.

With all due respect to Marshall, he is out there more or less on his own and Gawn is already clunking contest marks in defense, and equal lead for clearances after the first, as well as racking hitouts all over.

Could be a big'un for Gawn.

Why take Fritsch off? It's not like he was gassed

Sums up our year

F/ing imbeciles have zero common sense

Take off a player in his best form ever.

My god after 30 minutes after getting in I finally found a seat.

It was like a maze. Every part of level 3 we went to was shut & the part that was open on the wing was packed.

Now found a spot behind the goals.

This stadium is frustrating

Looks like you came in the wrong side, 'Numbers'?

I did have to ask a couple of times where they'd hidden the 'vertical transport', but otherwise OK access (albeit arriving after game had started...)

Dermie is the biggest dribbler going around. Literally talks complete and utter [censored].

They stuck Wilkie onto Fritsch, the wanted to disrupt the match up and keep Fritta free

You never give a sucker an even break

We are playing well but we need a bury-them mentality. Even at this stage of the season

Fritta and Melksham when on are probably one of the most dangerous combos about.

Shame Fritta has had form issues and Melksham is getting on.

Guess I'll just have to enjoy them today.

Trac kicked one of those kicks where the ball goes straight and spins backwards.

forget what itโ€™s called itโ€™s been that long

Yeah unfortunately windhager smashed kozzy last time, revenge today i hope

Wasn't that the game where Koz was on fire early and then copped the high hit - after which he was totally ineffective?

Nice to see some different positions being played. And guess what? Itโ€™s working. Shock.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
