Or even Petty Jeffo and Roo together.

Jeffo is more of a third tall than he is a key position forward. He’s a good user of the ball and quite agile. I can see him playing more of the Fritsch role.

I am dropping Fritsch this week, for his distinct lack of effort for the past god knows how many games, and bringing another tall and playing Jeffo as a third tall.

I am not sure he gives us less effort than Fritsch at the moment anyway.

On top of all the missed chances 6-7 of them the worst one was the non handball to Tholstrup in the Fwd pocket in the 2nd Qtr unforgivable.

Should be dropped for sure.

Everyone over 27 years of age in my eyes are on the trade table.

First time I've actually heard Simon mention that we are building on the run.

Lets generate some draft picks by letting go of some assets.

Some hard conversations are going to have to take place at years end some tough list building calls need to happen for this club to prosper.

Fritsch, Lever, Clarry, Viney, Salem, Petracca, Langdon, May, Fullerton etc.

Not all these players will go but if we recieve what we are after in terms of picks from these players put forward then so be it.

This it might sound nasty but it is necessary for our future before the Tassie team arrive.

Has to happen this year, we need to generate picks and we ain't getting back to the top with this list in its current state.

I'd be surprised if we see (m)any changes. Apart from hardly having anyone knocking the door down in the 2's we need consistency. This is a team that has hardly played together and it shows.

If Howes is right, bring him in for ... someone (Sharp?). If not, Windsor, but not sure whether he's done for the year after never getting going after his foot infection/injury across the pre/early season.

Suspect that Petty will be held back another week at least.

RELEASE THE BIG KAHOUNA KENTFIELD

Couldn't do any worse, release the big boy.

Clarko will tear us a new one.

Our new game plan looks good when we are winning but is horrible when we get found out.

Chipping around the defensive half until we get an entry into the corridor and then that player kicks at an angle for a forward entry and then that player kicks at the opposite angle to pray for a forward target.

It looks great when it works but when it doesn't you are so predictable and it falls apart

Politely correcting the way we will be dismantled

Petty was ill when he came off the ground. Normally players want to come back on if they are not completely knocked out like Brayshaw.

Petty was never coming back on you could see it when he walked off.

This is not a knock on Petty he was our best before the hit to the head

Wtf??

I know !!! I put a few bucks on Norf ... incredibly juicy odds.

Is JDU out? Is Xerri out?

No larkey and no LDU, the odds are justified. If we see kentfield for fritsch, I’m happy enough. If jeffo is playing sneaky pocket leads I hope he drills the shots.

I’m content with Windsor having a stint in the vfl to work on his centre square craft. His speed in the guts is a 2026 asset, not ready yet.

Melksham chandler and sparrow will have a task to keep Daniel and mckercher from having impact.

Sheezel and Simpkin are quality players but so are our mids. Gawn v xerri will be fun.

Mcvee to take Curtis. Yes, Rankine gave him a bath, but this is his job and he’s the right man for it.

Why cant someone else take him, free up McVee to kick the ball inside the 50.we are missing a trick there and hope we don't see McVee in other colours next year

Spargo in for Sharp

Kentfield in for Jeffo

Jeffo is out of his depth and it would be doing nothing for his confidence playing so poorly

We need to respect our opposition and Curtis as a small forward had 22 and kicked 3.2 against us earlier this year. That’s kossie numbers. Mcvee is our best lock down for this size player and I’m over hearing the thought process that we need to satisfy players so they don’t leave. Judd is playing afl week in week out and is a lock in our 22 as a back pocket. I agree that he has attacking skills from there but we don’t need to turn everybody into mids. Especially when our midfield is either freshly drafted or entrenched stars on long contracts already.

Wtf??

They are shorted Got 5.20 bet of the year

It's a tad annoying that everyone who is out of form, has a run in the 2s, is automatically 'aggrieved and looking elsewhere'

You know what? Cya!

North’s odds are $4.20!!? Surely that’s a mistake? Am i missing something?

3 weeks ago I had a $5 bet on when North beat Carlton, Swans beat Port and Brisbane beat Geelong, it paid $415.68. I actually had 8 x $5 bets on and I took those 3 games each way and the rest one out. If you’re confident on North try something similar.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
