Sure.

Two dropped marks as a KPF cost us goals in the second quarter. Normal service resumed.

Absolute sitters

As usual to script can’t score , coping goals in the last minute … Goodwin we are going backwards , fwd issues continue for 4 seasons, no fwds who can hold a mark! How about leaving JvR instead of flogging him as a ruck

Then people complain that he is not living up to potential. YEAH because he is being wasted rucking.

Just put him in the square for a few games and let him find his form and confidence. We can't do much worse!

Petty is the most useless forward I have ever seen! He is a defender only, but typical stubborn coach refuses to listen or change his thinking!

Second best in every aspect of the game.

The ease with which Port are attacking down their right flank is embarrassing.

Petracca a mere shadow of the player he once was. Slow and ineffective.

We have been smashed in marking contests, continually beaten for pace, and lacking any kind of forward craft.

It's just about time to give our youngsters a good run and let Salem and a few other veterans head into the sunset.

butters should be suspended for his hit on Koz, Maynard levels of thuggery

no forwards arent suprising

our defence is what is costing us

move petty back

We HAVE TO GET RID OF THE COACH…. He’s bloody no good, I’m sick of it, we won the flag in 21 and the last 4 years have been disaster after disaster, Port are [censored] and we’re 24 points behind at half time, if we didn’t have Kozzie we’d be down by 40

It baffles me how any AFL team can be so poorly skilled, it’s just amateurish

Perhaps the overwhelming emphasis over the last 10 years has been a blinkered attitude towards crash and bang efforts to win the Contested ball and then jam it into F50 to get a stoppage.

Inexplicable dropped marks. I really like the guy and think he will come good... and think he is being wasted rucking without a good enough block of time up forward but geez stuff like that is hard to defend!

another shocker from the ump

and again on the siren

GAGF AFL. why the [censored] can't you overpaid money grabbers sort out the umpring

Don’t worry about the shockers from the umps just look at all our player shockers. Much worse from our own players 🤮🤮

We certainly have the dumbest players in the comp. They have no idea. It hasn't changed for years. Just kick it in hope plus handball in hope. Every time it gets in our forward line, they take it out so easily and more often results in a goal.

Oliver has become a liability and Trac doesn’t seem interested

Viney is getting smoked by Butters. Get him off and get Langdon on him. Viney is simply a plodder and cannot go with the more dynamic players of the competition.

Massive coaching blunder.

Time to have a real talk about Viney.

Calmly look at all his disposals and rethink his role.

Time to bring TMac back in and get games into Jeffo. The coach’s love child Petty can [censored] off.

And give Jeffo and Roo 5-6 games together, even if they do little. Our season is shot, time to put games into youngsters

Give Lever a spell at Casey, put Petty Back. That's where he plays his best footy

Ricciuto is an annoying [censored] too. He can GAGF. I've had it.

The Saints performance is the real us. We just keep putting in these putrid performances far too often for this to be anything but a pattern now under Simon.

He truly has to go at year's end

Legitimately went into this thinking we were a chance and I don't think Port have been amazing. But time on in that quarter was scumbag stuff.

Is some nobjockey off the street wearing the no.7 jumper today? Does Steven May have to be quite so relentlessly on the verge of giving away a free? So many of these guys look like they've never played in direct sunlight before. Fritsch totally at sea.

Do something in the second half or go directly to jail with no $200.

We MUST trade out some of our ball butchers over the summer to bring in some class. Viney, Rivers, Sparrow, Oliver, Petracca, Langdon you cant have them all regardless of their other qualities.

Why was May not on Georgiades from the start.

Why is Petty out there at all.

If players somehow learn how to execute a kick into 50 in the second half we may eke out a win but I doubt why it would suddenly change now after 3-4 years of this rubbish.

Season over if we can’t pull this one back

Reckon the club are going to have to have some really serious discussions about Viney, Trac and Clarry this offseason

We can’t keep carrying so many mids who bang it on the boot and can’t hit targets

The problem for me with Melksham has always been inconsistancy.

Plays a blinder or two and then disappears for the same amount of time.

No coincidence Port piles on the goals when KP goes off.

Shame we have to rely on him so much.

Tracca needs to show more leadership.

Oliver needs to stop just throwing the ball on his boot or his trademark handball over the head without looking.

Max keeps toiling.

Turner patches of good effort.

Apart from Kozzie who has stood out?

There is still close to a dozen premiership players out there but you would never guess it.

Are we tired from playing only five days ago?

Possibly. It is a poor fixture for us.

But players who seem to be well down on form from 21...Lever....Rivers...Petty....Salem... Sparrow..( the perennial 12 disposals per game)....Oliver ....and today Melksham...Tracca..and Viney who has maybe come back too soon.

Imagine Kozzie playing in a team like the pies.

Lets see what Goody does.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
