nothing surprising.

You just don't have blokes like mclean, yze on the emergency.

Yze better get some kicks as i traded him from embley only for him to be a late withdrawal.

You can expect a good percentage of them to be "off-the-ground jobs", especially if it gets damper. I mean you wouldn't want to get your glove wet would you. I can see it now. Blokes like Newton who tend to take the ball with one grab can still mark in wet conditions and for mine he would have yet been a valid inclusion.

I'm going to see Sandy, Sunday anyway.

I like Yze - but not as a replacement for Neitz

I understand the "Its going to be wet, use less talls" approach

but its not that wet out there, for a Melbourne Friday night in winter

and our forward line is already short - Robbo will be the only tall - and i wouldn't even call him that

ok lets say its not a rumour... :P

Come on, spill... who do you know? <_< ;)

Nothing surprising though. Hopefully Yze has a good game and we get to see Juice soon.

Oh and BROCKY FOR CAPTAIN. That is the new bandwagon I'm driving tonight.

Which one of those 5 kicks would he have used?

He has nothing to smirk about (apart from the easy money).

Yeah, I know about the groin.

easy to pick on Ooze..how about picking on the big mouthed players who come out and spin shizen every week in the media then put up performances that the Hadfield under 9's girls team would be embarrassed about...

"Going to see Sandy Sunday" - hope to hell that ND gets off his ass and goes for a Captain Cook too - may actually learn something, like MICHEAL Newton's name- ND ref p 43 MFC 2007 Almanac.

" Yeah, I know about the groin." Did ND know about the groin??? If so why did he play him - if not, why not???

The groin is alleged to have failed somewhat toward the end of the game. It's a good story any way. Yze was able to pass a fitness test but you'd be tempted to think that it may have only been just stringent enough for him to pass fit for selection.

If an injury can pass an injury test, it should pass a game otherwise the test its gone through is crap and I don't care what level the test has been done at. If a person passes a medical and breaks down down, I blame the medical staff - no excuses

i doubt he even had a fitness test. he has OP. of course he can run and kick but it causes a lot of pain. when uoi havnt used it all day and they say run here jump high, kick this it would feel a bit sore but manageable. when you start running at full intensity in a footy match it wuld degenerate pretty quickly. if hedidnt play for melb last night he wouldnt of played for sandy, he wouldve rested. he shouldnt have played, and if he isnt over the groin problem by the end of the year he should do the right thing and retire.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie
