He does not hold back, he’s a brute of a player and while he didn’t get the glory and adulation given to our goal-kickers, he deserves it just as much since he was instrumental in some of those goals. I really hope we keep him in the side.

We're flying but the lack of pressure coming up from the VFL team is a little concerning.

Really thankful for our fit playing list at the moment. Makes a huge difference when you can play your best 22.

What is it with the round the corner kicks for when after a mark you in front of goal. Two from almost the same spot. 35 metres out on a 45 deg angle. An easy straight drop punt! But no a sidewise kick, both points. You knew it was going to happen. One hit the post. One was milkshake who is a very good kick. Why?

Gee the two kids we picked up in last years draft are diamonds! It’s had to believe they have only played a handful of games. I was today pleasantly surprised with Sharp.

I loved how everyone got around Clayton when he kicked that goal. You can tell how good a relationship he & goody have & even after the game he was hugging Trac's family after the game.

His skill level will need to improve long term - that can come as he gets comfortable with the level and the speed. As a big man effectively playing 2nd ruck, his ability to compete and defend is far far more important than being able to kick straight

What I love about AJ is he is providing the bar that JVR needs to clear to get back in the side.

Competition for spots is so important.

That’s interesting because l think he and Trac went on an overseas trip at the end of the season a couple of years ago .And they visited Trac’s family in Italy.

Of all the things going well (and there are a lot ATM), I am absolutely thrilled with the full ground defensive application and intent. We are fighting for every inch, desperate on defence, all the time at any spot on the ground. Goody always said that would unlock our attack - certainly did today. It does result in messy shots - but the weight of numbers usually eventually tells.

I will say we had a very kind umpiring performance - but it's not really important. It was probably a 3-4 goal favourable umpiring performance (really), but we missed at least 3-4 absolute gimmes you'd kick 8 times out of 10 anyway.

I haven’t seen the game but if their pressure was 220 in the first half and we still managed to win both quarters and lead by 20–odd, that’s a stunning outcome and, like you, probably going to be my favourite thing to come out of today.
