Great player but he’s only 191cm, I would of thought we’d want a genuine gorilla key forward. Even petty isn’t 200cms and I still think long term he goes back once maysie finishes up

Not sure we’re in a position to be too fussy about goal scorers 😂 I’ll take them at any size

Fair point there we shouldn’t complain should we 😹

Is he homesick? Having a great start to his career. 2 goals a game average for a 19 year old key forward is nothing to sneeze at. Would cost at least a mid first rounder.

Maybe instead of throwing away second and third rounders to move up two spots in the draft (2023) we should have just taken Logan anyway ?

Cal also said Fritsch is ‘gettable’

What will be will be.

I think we need to add another two first rounders this year to our list.

If we can get a first rounder for someone with elite goal sense but poor defensive accountability, we will be fine.

Where does Key Forward even begin size wise, this lad is 3 cm taller than our medium forward Fritsch.

Are we looking at a Fritsch (Out) Morris (In) situation? Don't know how i feel about this.

One thing i can say with certainty is Morris does not have beautiful hair.

I was gunna say who? but a Vic currently playing for Brisbane. Yes please.

Fritta is a cherry on top player. Right now we need work horses that are willing to put in effort. If he isn’t capable or willing then we have to make the hard call and let him go.

The game has evolved and players that don’t have a defensive output will get exposed even in the forward line.

I do hope he turns it around, because I get great pleasure watching him play.

Would Hawks be willing to give us a first rounder for him? Gunston and Breust are in their mid 30s and he’d slot in nicely there.

Can't see him leaving unless the Lions are offering him an insulting contract.

Interestingly, G Healy and B Johnson on SEN re-casted the 2023 draft order and had Morris at #1. Windsor was at about 4 or 5 and Kolt wasn't mentioned.

They had Reid at 10 so I wouldn't be putting too much stock in that.

Our Werribee connection might help (in a small way) here. Logan is a local Werribee lad, and his parents are pretty involved with Werribee FC.

Also very good mates with Harry Sharp, and played U18’s with Caleb

Melk out - Morris In, makes a lot of sense

37 goals from his first 26 games as a third string forward seems to indicate that he knows where the goals are.

Admittedly, I haven't seen much of him. Can he take a mark?

Yes. One of his strengths is his contested marking. He is a one touch grab player.

Plays a bit taller than 191cm and takes a ripping contested mark. Bit of a Jack Riewoldt type.

Wouldn't say no.

We would need to turn the club around to make it appealing to him.

Lions would hate to lose him after Daniher retired.

They won't let him go easily

If he did come he'd have to get used to a different level of service from the midfield

Thanks @dazzledavey36

I remember calling out Morris during the 2023 year as a potential draftee. Reminded me in 2023 under18s as a Larkey style player in his natural forward craft , good mark and his kicking reliability. Some questioned his 191cm height. I thought he’d be a 2nd or 3rd forward which has proven to be.

I yearn for the days in my youth when 191 cm was considered tall.....

Get Hendo, AJ and Choco onto it ASAP.

Fritta and his family might like a change of scenery in the warm weather, for the last few years of his AFL career.

Get them both onto it as well as Choco, Hendo and AJ, the Werribee boys.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
