Swans have kicked 1 behind to the Suns 10.6

Are we seeing the end of the Swans' run or are GCS very good.

GCS certainly had the corridor game working in Q3

Losing Armartey has really hurt the Swannettes, although they were playing well in the first half

This is an incredible turnaround….

This Swans-Suns game is becoming a worry.

Swans may need some extra draft picks.

And I don't like to be the bearer of bad news, but if Geelong and Hawthorn also win today, we're probably out of running for the top-4. 3 wins and percentage on at least two sides is a big ask.

Top 8 still wide open, of course. ;)

O’Sullivan for the Cats is going to be a superstar. Would be very handy in our backline.

GCS look really fit and just continue to run and run in the last quarter which is very different to how we play in the last quarter.

Top 4 bloody hell u r optimistic LG. At this stage I would be happy for us to play 4 quarters first.

Tonight's game raised an interesting grammatical problem.

"No Bontempelli; No Bulldogs."

Is basically sound. Or at least accepted as a convention. But...

"Yes Bontempelli; Yes Bulldogs."

T'is a weird one.

Nice on - I guess here "no" is being used as a determiner, as in "not any" or "absence of", not as an exclamation to denote a negative response. "Yes" is not the opposing determiner for no - instead we could go with something like

"Absent Bont; absent Bulldogs"

versus

"Present Bont; present Bulldogs."

He's a good player but I dislike Curnow. He's got peak "Carlton wannabe" vibes about him.

Cats putting in their [censored] performance against Carlton of all clubs.

Really interesting season. Apart from Pies and Lions, anyone can win or lose on any given day. More than any other season, pressure is playing an even bigger part on scoring. Blues looking very good, which I hate. Their pressure, defence, and 1%ers are top grade against the Cats today.

Season is wide open still

You only have to be 1% off

Will Jeeelong come home strong?? They have in games so far this year

Mathematically, "The Bulldogs" is a set contained within the set which is "The Bontempelli."

The Venn diagram would be a smaller circle inside a larger circle.

Realistically, there was only one way the Hawks would lose to the Eagles, and a start of 2.8 has briefly opened that door.

I usually mute the commentary these days as I find it insufferable. Thought I’d listen to the Geelong Blues game today just for a change but seriously Dwayne Russell is just the worst. His stupid one line planned puns are so embarrassing. How does he still get a gig???? Back to my music I think.

I have Brayshaw and Jab Watson

Carlton got a very good run from the umps today

Nothing more insufferable than Carlton fans when they’re on a winning roll.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
