Didn't bother with the second half. Checked the scores in the third quarter. What a pity when like many we expected a gripping game.

Will watch the first quarter of the game in the West mainly to see how HR plays and take it from there.

Wow,,, Canterbury Bulldogs go 6 straight in a very big 42-0 win over the mid table Rabbitohs

Dees 2 goals v bombers to half time

Eagles 5 goals (Waterman 3 goals) by quarter time !!

Any learnings Goody?? We have no forward strategy ffs

I thought Greene might be the guy but Nup

None of our blokes. Too busy slapping him on the bum the traitors

Don't get me started on bum-slapping framed as innocent team bonding when it's ultimately about unconsciously upholding norms that marginalise emotional diversity and reinforce homophobic boundaries under the guise of unity. 🤣

‘superstar’ LDU with 7 kicks and 5 clangers, 2 clearances needs to take a good hard look at himself

That's actually his problem.

hot start waterman. bagged 3 already

Early days and a big call but is there a chance Turner could become our version in a season or two?

Didn't WC start well against Brisvegas as well?

no chance unless our mids figure out how to deliver the ball

With the Pies it is pretty simple.

About 8 - 10 very skilled ball handlers.

The best player in the game. A brother also an excellent player.

More AFL experience than any other side.

Total buy in and selflessness by the players.

Pace to burn.

Reasonable goal kicking skill.

Well coached.

Ability to recruit players from other clubs.

To a lesser extent, huge support which probably leads to favorable umpiring on nearly every occasion. Can you see the 78m penalty being given against the Pies or the soft free to McStay for a goal, or the ridiculous DeGoey free where he dropped an opponent not in play, all paid at crucial times. A bunch of mates in the MRO and Tribunal also helps.

Best recent decision by the Pies was to trade out Jack 'my shorts are too big because I've got a little *&(#@) Ginnivan. They woke up to the nightmare before most footy followers. Wouldn't mind betting Sidey and Pendles had their fingerprints all of that.

Or a few different ones do

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
