Ironically its always funny watching Melbourne supporters on here giving shade to the likes of Brisbane and Collingwood whilst our very own club rots away down the bottom.

I enjoy watching Collingwood play and would dream to have the game style they have. It's fun, exciting and brings their supporters through the gates.

I legitimately have more excitement in watching Casey play this weekend over our snooze fest AFL club.

exactly we should win against gws, best casey team since the gf maybe even better

With the Pies it is pretty simple.

About 8 - 10 very skilled ball handlers.

The best player in the game. A brother also an excellent player.

More AFL experience than any other side.

Total buy in and selflessness by the players.

Pace to burn.

Reasonable goal kicking skill.

Well coached.

Ability to recruit players from other clubs.

To a lesser extent, huge support which probably leads to favorable umpiring on nearly every occasion. Can you see the 78m penalty being given against the Pies or the soft free to McStay for a goal, or the ridiculous DeGoey free where he dropped an opponent not in play, all paid at crucial times. A bunch of mates in the MRO and Tribunal also helps.

The Pies aren’t that fast they just move the ball quickly. Constant movement forward then if they cough it up they get back and force the opponent down the line. They work incredibly hard.

It’s funny isn’t it - even if we leave the Brayshaw stuff out of the conversation I’ve only ever viewed him as a sniper and yet he’s lauded as tough

He's just an absolute P.O.S. thug

Needs to be run through. ( twice)

Was thinking the same, just put some multis on with them in them.

Usually the Good Friday game involving North is a yawn fest but this one could be a good watch.

Carlton's season definitely on the line. Win today and they may still scrape into the final 8. Lose and Voss, like Goodwin is gone

I wonder if the afl will come out & speak about that 77m penalty that daicos got.

That's a massive difference & a massive error

conversely, if they get up, the pressure will only ramp up on voss

hard to see two coaches under more pressure in 2025 than him and goodwin

Norf not in Grand Final mode again this week

Not sure if that’s more of a dig at North or Melbourne.

We‘re the only team North can beat.

I know most hate the ground but the closed roof is making for great television viewing.

Time they put some fixed cameras in the roofing gantry to increase the number of camera angles.

Watching Kayo their goal replays seem to be repetitive in coverage. Something they could work on but it does look good in 4K

The roof’s fantastic for TV.

However it should be open for warm early season nights and overcast winter days. Absolutely unbearable and non temperature controlled when it’s mid 20’s plus.

Have North ever played in one of these Good Friday games and not been belted?

Yeah listening to it on the radio & the boundary rider was saying how hot it is & stuffy. It's a big crowd to so all those bodies in there won't help

West coast any chance tonight or am I just hoping?

You want West Coast to win because you hate Essendon?

Or you want West Coast to win because we’ll be the only team to be winless and hence the microscope will be fair and square on the club?

A small chance IMO.. Aside from round 1, West Coast will play their better games at Optus.

Being in an alley make Zurhar extremely happy.

More so because I hate essendon.

Man North plays dumb sometimes. Like why do they just keep jumping on the ball. They've been pinged like 5 times.

Norths victory over us really doesn’t bode for us winning a game any time soon. We all thought Norf had turned the corner and were going to not be easy beats was perhaps a distraction from how far we have really fallen.

It makes us look really really bad & terrible. Everyone got so excited about nth after that win against us & they've been thrashed since

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
