Just wanted to add no need to avoid Ford due to Geelong association- they've been terrible for a generation or 2 anyway 😉

FOOTSCRAY swingman Rory Lobb has escaped sanction for an accidental strike on Collingwood ruckman Mason Cox in the dying stages of Friday night's clash at the MCG.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Is this for real!?? So good

It was a blatant punch in the face! All about the outcome I guess

Was crisp action reportable and was he?

Not much in the Crisp tackle. No sling, no follow through.

Free kick but no weeks imo

Wow Geelong are bad if this is their real level. The Way St Kilda just cut through them leading to that Higgins goal was VFL level.

I bet it was. Out of all the VFL grounds i went to back then, Windy Hill and Victoria Park were the most intimidating by far.

Although i was at The Western Oval in ‘88 right in front of Rodney Grinter when he did a full redecorating of Terry Wallace’s Jaw. The noise was quite sickening

The Dog Supporters wanted to kill us all that day.

Agree on Vic Park and Windy Hill with Vic Park a short half head in front.  That said when I was 18 I pulled beers at Collingwood Social Club. Fantastic people. They would all be friendly and respectful to anyone who worked there. That included, the president, Tommy Haley and Ron Richard’s.

Jack Reiwoldt off to the races after work.

No idea how he has managed to worm his way into all the cushy TV gigs he has got. Famous name + premierships probably gets the job done, though it shouldn't.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
