It is a strange situation and I don’t doubt Ghosty or Danny at all and accept Judd has committed to us, I just can’t work out why we would hold the announcement this long.

Judd is a really good player and I’d be disappointed if he left, as for mine we need more of his type not less. I get your point that players come and go so whatever but for mine he’s not a signature to be blasé about. Important piece of the puzzle. Get it done.

I have my suspicions ( and that's all they can be ) that various managements are talking in the background and have been season long.

There's a bit of powder being kept dry in all of this. Quite fascinating really.

There are though two events yet to happen as been pointed out. Freo yet to exit for the year and Dees yet to construct its off field brains trust.

Are these purely parallel non consequential developments ? Quite possibly. But it's curious for mine.

DannyZ is a trusted and respected poster who’s always on the money, so to speak. He has said what I’ve said and as far as I can see, he hasn’t been told he’ll have MASSIVE egg on his face. Note: not just egg… MASSIVE egg.

(Sigh) I’ve explained this so many times: months ago I asked Judd if he’s gonna sign. He said he already has and that leaving the MFC was never a consideration. He could easily have said he’s not sure yet, he hasn’t decided yet, etc.

Since then I’ve never brought it up again. But he has.

He has never strayed from his original stance.

Additional new bit: I’ve gotten to know Lily, Judd’s partner. Was loath to mention this because when Kozzie had one foot out the door (according to many on here) I shared conversations I’d had with Ardu, Kozzie’s partner wherein she said Koz wasn’t leaving the MFC. Of course, the belligerent element on here went to town on it. Some folks act as though they’re paying me for things I share so god help me if anything I say turns out to be “wrong” for I’ll have MASSIVE egg on my face. 🙄
