Melbourne are prepared to offer Judd a deal to 2029 like they did with JVR. They’ll be happy to accomodate another 2 years though if that’s all he wants.

He’s very happy at the club and also has a partner who plays in AFLW side.

Who is that?

Looks like it’s Lily Johnson. She’s a possible delist this year. Originally from Tassie

It's this [censored] that makes me prefer local lads. Always with the plotting and whispering and bribing these western clubs. They can get stuffed.

I mean I don’t want to lose him but let’s not get hysterical over it. The thing that annoys me in a situation like this if it comes true is West Coast and Freo didn’t draft him and had the chance. We’ve drafted him and developed him and given him the opportunity to be where he is today, and then the first contract post that “I’m home sick”. Let’s hope it’s all BS.

She’s 20, played the last half of the season. Otherwise known as the good half of the season. She will be around next year…

Did some checking around.  He loves the club and the coach.  Working on a deal to be announced in the coming month(s).  👏

So relax folks.

Thanks LH. I'M thinking McVee will stay as well, at least for another two years..I also tend to wonder why another one of our players starts getting mentioned out of the blue. Aren't  the Media Maggots satisfied with the lies they have made up.

The McVee family should move to Melb

start a goFundMe?

I'd contribute if we do it also for Kozzy, Rivers. We have a lot of interstate talent.

West Coast should realise through media reports that our shocking culture has destroyed his character and not go near him.

Anyone could remind Judd that all 17 other clubs overlooked him and it was the then Premiers who took the punt on him at pick 18 in the rookie draft😉

I don’t like the whole we have to find him a Victorian girlfriend thing but Judd’s girlfriend is a Dees player. She’s a Vic gal.

I ran into Kolt at the AFLW Hawks vs Port final (he was wearing a Hawks scarf but we’ll let that slide since his girlfriend plays for Hawthorn) and I mentioned that Judd is “dating” Lily (Johnson). Kolt was quick to say they’re not just dating, they’ve been together for a while and it’s serious.

So there’s that.

I’d go one further to let him know they all had very disparaging remarks in their scouting profiles… West Coast have been quoted as saying ‘he couldn’t hit the side of a barn’

Her bio on the MFC website says she's from Tasmania, but moved to South Australia post-school to pursue her footy. After playing locally she got drafted by Port Adelaide. She then only moved to Melbourne earlier this year when she got traded to us.

Thanks for the info. I should’ve said Lily is not a WA girl. I knew she wasn’t from WA and was actually getting her mixed up with Kolt’s girlfriend who’s from Bendigo.

Lily Johnson’s management refer to her contract with us as for the ‘24 and 25 seasons’ - so not on the delist bubble at all.

As long as we aim for a Top 4 Finals berth, these Interstate Players should stick around.
Meth Coke still have a few lean years ahead of them

Fremantle are just Fremantle….😎

Normally I would agree but they look like a genuine contender next year - on paper at least. Guns everywhere

The Demon stalwart surpassed the number of his father's appearances for the club towards the end of the season. As he approaches his thirties, his pace is inevitably slowing, and he is likely to explore alternative opportunities beyond the team's midfield.

“Disco” took his time (four seasons) but the mid-season draftee has been a shining light of Melbourne's campaign, improving to become a versatile option at either end of the ground. He has great marking skills which allows him to play as a marking target up forward or an intercepting defender down back.

The skipper delivered another outstanding season, leading the team from the front, participating in every game, and earning club champion honours, while also securing an equal record eighth All-Australian blazer as a ruckman.  Max Gawn is arguably the greatest exponent of ruck skills in the history of the game; an exceptional leader who has guided the club to a premiership, through the challenging times that followed, and now into the next phase of its storied history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup

It was a frustrating season for the former number 13 draft selection, who failed to build momentum in his second campaign; Tholstrup played only nine games, having been omitted twice and substituted out three times. However, he demonstrated promising signs in the midfield at Casey towards the end of the season, and big things are anticipated from him in the coming years.

He is presently contracted to the club for an additional five years, with a substantial annual salary of approximately $1.7 million in the final seasons of his agreement. All at Melbourne are eagerly anticipating his resurgence to his previous peak performance levels.
