I'd be looking at Malcolm Rosas even with Kozzie (he better [censored] be staying) still with us, the ball comes out way too easily once it hits the deck. Gotta get more pressure on the ball.

I'd be looking at him regardless of the Koz situation.

Would also be very interested in Alex Davies.

1st point yes agreed

2nd nah i think theres better options he only played well in really wet ocnditions which is his bread and butter, he has no outside or kicking game hes just a bull

Let’s get him!

More due diligence required in my view. We must be super super diligent in adding anyone.  I like his goal sense and pace but there must be a reason that the Suns terminated his contract with a year still to run.
Why are they letting him go ????

Rosas, originally from Darwin, was the first player to be signed by the Suns through their Darwin talent zone. He made his AFL debut in 2021 and quickly became known for his speed and goal-scoring ability. Over the years, Rosas became an integral part of the Suns’ forward line, playing 33 games and scoring 33 goals during his time with the club.

The decision to release Rosas is surprising given his recent contract extension and the significant contributions he made to the team. His departure leaves a noticeable gap in the Suns’ forward line as they look towards the future.

Rosas’ release raises questions about the Suns’ strategy moving forward and how they plan to fill the void left by his departure. The reasons behind the decision have not been publicly disclosed, but it marks a significant change for both Rosas and the Gold Coast Suns.

Where is this from?

The Suns have told him he is able to leave if he finds a suitor. They would just delist him if it was other issues.

They must have another player in mid that they would like to target and feel as if he won't get a game in 2025.

No idea why they would be shipping him out so soon.

If available I'd definitely be having a look, he's your classic small forward with blistering speed on the outside and very good defensive pressure. Different to Nibbler of course but could go a way to filling that particular void.

I thought it was pretty clear they have marked his role for Leo Lombard as he will probably go straight into their 22. Being asked to explore a trade, instead of being retained as depth is concerning though.

Could free up Kosi to play more midfield time, which is a win win

Would definitely be interested if he's a good cultural fit

Definitely.

And I can see Rosas pushing up to a wing with that speed and outside game, could add a new dimension.

Must be salary cap related, it always is with the Suns.

Agree he has PACE, SKILL, GOALKICKING … he’s impressed in some games

but there must be a query over whether he has the ?DETERMINATION and ?DEDICATION to be a regular AFL player

a lot of due diligence needed

I’d prefer Parfitt if we are after this half forward type

Always liked Rosas but the fact that Dimma doesn’t want him probably says it all.

Dimma didn't want Mabior Chol. He's gone alright since parting company with Hardwick. Twice.
