I’m starting to think I should have been more obnoxious celebrating our flag.

I'm starting to think I am being punished for being too obnoxious. 😱

@Adam The God if Koz and Trac both leave, how hyperbolic is it now to suggest this club will fold?

completely ridiculous

we're one of 18 teams in a domestic competition that doesn't have relegation

if he wants to go, go

if players don't want to be at your club there's no point trying to hold them

This is dramatically opposed to what I’ve been told.
And also goes against what his manager said only a week or so ago.

I would take this with a large grain of salt

He wouldn't be any more homesick than he was, but he may see this as an opportunity to go. I'm sure many others will.

As someone who regularly attends Adelaide Oval the idea of Port or Crows fans cheering for Kozzy will send me to a therapist.

True, but surely we need to address the elephant in the room? There is clearly something in these cultural concerns. We'd all think it if this was happening to another club.

Things can change. In the last week a significant amount of water has gone under the Petracca bridge. Who knows what impact that has had on Koz.

It’s not at all outlandish to think that he’s changed his mind in the last week.

No it is not. But it’s also not outlandish to think that he said he’s feeling a bit homesick but he wants to stick around and the media is just feeding on our dead carcass.

So what's the answer? Just sack all off-field employees and the board?

The media smells blood and is trying to squeeze the last drop of blood.. it’s a feeding frenzy. Pathetic.. I’m despondent at the whole show, but I have a special dose of disgust for the media is all this.

I can’t believe that with ANB going, Brayshaw gone, and Petracca losing his mind that the club would ever entertain a Kozzy trade. They would promise him the world to keep him.

Just enormous pressure on Goodwin and his allegedly strong relationship with the players

Well he has an extra three weeks that he can spend at home compliments of Jeff Gleeson.

Hope that helps he and his young family. Is a tough time to be away from family with very young bubs.

One thing is for sure….STOP DRAFTING PLAYERS FROM WA and SA

Were the victorian options going to help us win a flag over Jackson, Pickett, Rivers and ANB?

I’m being a touch facetious, but losing Trac and Koz does huge damage to our marketability, let alone our chances of getting out of the bottom 6.

PS if A-grade players don’t want to be here, that’s equally an existential issue for us.

Honestly, who is going to be next?

Rivers? McVee? JVR?

Heads have got to roll. Roffey, Pert and/or Richardson

McVee already flagged he wants to return to Perth. It was a very early interview before he'd found any success. But I expect it to happen one day once he has adequately increased his worth to be able to make the request

There should be automatic financial penalties for players who wish to break contracts. A portion of their future club contract is returned to their previous club as compensation. They still will be well paid anyway so can’t moan about hardship.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
