I might have Kolt 4th instead of Lindsay but that aside, all 4 have shown us a glimpse of how good they could be.  I might even have XL as 2nd.  Langford on top

And if Petracca, Viney, Oliver, Langdon & Rivers all shine around the midfield next season, then the 4 newby's will have an easier time of it with regards to their development (on field)

Regardless, it's exciting times and we can leave the gloom of 2024 behind us

I think if Windsor ever moved into an inside mid role he may have the highest ceiling of the lot

At the moment Duke is in the lead with exposed form but we've got some good ones in the mix now...

Haha, I'm also not completely sold on Kolt, other than being a role player at this stage.

On the old 'World of Sport' back in the day, (in the off-season) they used to conduct an indoor footy comp but with the use of handball only

Looking back, that indoor handball comp was a a bit of a pre-curser to how the footy is moved around in close-quarters these days

And then of course we had the Footy Olympics in the off-season (might have been on Ch9)  I believe the Demons won one year but Tuddy used to dominate the long distance run

I think the Windsor progressed past “promising” last year. He's in another higher bracket .

Yeah that's true but if the projection is A grade or even A grade Elite, then all 4 are a ways off

I reckon the sky is the limit with all 4 and considering that the team has been in strong contention for 3 of the last 4 years (and not old as a collective), having 4 such promising young players is quite amazing

In previous times, there's no way we would have manipulated our way into such a position

The rebuild is happening whilst we are still in the window

I thought this is a Welcome to Harvey not an evaluation of Spargo.

I believe Harvey like Caleb will blossom with the help of the senior members of the team taking pressure off them to perform like a seasoned AFL player.

During last season when Koltyn played his matches the team was missing Petracca and Oliver was a shadow of the player that won 4 best and fairest's which puts a lot of pressure on young players to perform at their best.

Your initial statement was wrong...but whether players pass him by or not is another thing all together.

His field kicking is a strength but will it be enough? 

He is no guarantee of a game and still being in the rehab group does not set him up well for the season ahead.

Hopefully he gets fit. Last year was a nightmare for him.

If he gets his chance I'd like goody to encourage him to play with a bit more freedom and creativity.

Make him a permanent old school goal kicking half forward flanker (as opposed to being a nibbla style high half forward) and make his KPIs goal assists and goal.

From a list perspective, I like that they are quite different players stylistically whilst all being versatile. They have the potential to give us quite a different (and dynamic) look through the midfield.

I don’t advocate The Duke for on the ball this year but placed as our new centre man where his skill speed poise and goal kicking would be a real bonus from the centre of the ground and down forward.

In time yes he should be a midfield runner also but now he breathes a Warner style centre man creating havoc.

I see him being in the Gulden mould, with a better turn of speed — mid these days doesn’t mean contest beast but I think he’s more than a pure wing and that we’ll see him running mid patterns

Agree he's more than a pure winger. And he's not really an outside player as such - too hard at it

It's interesting he's spending some time with the defensive unit.

Could play as an attacking half back flanker and use both his speed and want for the contest.

Gulden is a gun kick, which Windsor is far from. Hope Windsor can improve on that front.

Windsor was touted as an elite kick as a draftee. Based on that i was a tad disappointed in his kicking last year.
