Christian has a lot of guts he has fronted players and officials and let it all off his chest he has given us so much joy and is the idol of many but if he is not happy well let him go .

IF he decides on Collingwood their first pick #32 is not enough however  I would take that with Beau Mc Creey and a late  3rd rounder Mc Creey has a huge upside Pace and strength plus he will save us $

This would make Jeremy Howe for Ben Kennedy look like inspired list management on our part.

Surely he told some players he was going to Noosa.

That doesn't bother me he went to Noosa. I get why he wanted to get away & it's not like he could train.

I mean Bailey smith went overseas.

This is the part of the story that doesn’t make any sense to me. Basically everyone knew of the seriousness of his injuries, so all the players must have known.

He can be in recovery and doing nothing here, or up there.

What is the difference and why would anybody (including players that found out late that he went there) care?

I’m not trying to join in on the pile on and am genuinely asking:

If Josh Daicos wanted to leave the pies, do you reckon they would accept pick 32, Jake Bowey or Tom Sparrow and a late 3rd rounder?

They wouldn’t even accept that for Josh, let alone Nick.
Did you mean Nick?

They might accept it for Peter.

You’re saying the quiet part out loud there Jaded, that’s my point, haha

Tracc and Nick are superstars.

Josh Daicos is a VERY good player. But not in their league.

So if they wouldn’t accept that for Josh Daicos…

AFL journos are total nuffies. Pies fan Jay Clark says it will be the Pies.  Get your hand off it Daryl.

Maybe the players did care, maybe they didn’t, but it also sounds like Tracc may not have got too many RU OKs.

I don’t think anybody has really tweaked how serious his injuries were or close to death he was, including players.

Below is a lot of hypotheticals, but firstly, Tracc’s injuries were horrific.  I’ve known someone who has had a ruptured spleen, and they were really bad, but even they had enough blood circulating around to have transfusions and surgery while they were asleep.  And they were back in full exercise in 12 weeks.  It must have been really [censored] up for Tracc to have surgery while awake and still not allowed to get his heart rate up 10 weeks after the injury.

Since I heard that, my first thought was wondering if Tracc will ever play again.  The second thought was his family would try and talk him into retiring.  No job is worth risking your life for and no doubt they would be worried about another accidental knee.

I have no idea which players and officials have been in touch with Tracc through this entire 12 weeks, and how often.  But if the Noosa situation is even 50% true, then right when Tracc is still processing his football future, it sounds like there may not have been too many RU OKs sent his way and perhaps he may have even had to process getting the cold shoulder.  I don’t know.  On top of it, ignorant supporters are piling on.

And this all follows having to deal with a spray from Max about Traccs lack of effort when he came back on. So we have Pies players concerned about Traccs welfare when he came back on, while at the same time our Captain is spraying him.  That’s [censored] up.

Goody, Max and the entire club have to get rid of their “faux tough play while injured” attitude.  It’s [censored] up and has derailed way too many of our players and way too many of the last 8 seasons.

And the pile onto Tracc continues to be shameful.  This is a player who has played finals with a broken leg. Not to mention the only Norm Smith medalist we have ever had. Show some respect and empathy.

End rant.  Not aimed at you @BoBo

Is Jay Clark also proposing Beau McCreery and pick 32 as the trade?

It really sounds like that preseason had a bit more spice than gawnie having a spew on Scully.

All the little stories over the last 12 months all make me really wonder why the big story here has never broken when everyone says it's common knowledge yet none of us phlebs have a clue.

Maybe it’s all rubbish

Two days ago, Tom Morris reported that Bolton has requested a trade. Now Morris posts the below on X. Morris is quickly becoming the new purple. IMG_6490.jpeg.7eb087d2ef265d6559afe7777919d159.jpeg

Nah all good re: it being aimed at me.

I can’t speak to much of that as it is hypothetical/speculative but what I will say on a personal note:

In 2020 I got sick and had to go to Hospital. I was in extreme pain and was given morphine to treat it until they couldn’t give me any more pain killers. I went through 5-6 hours straight of 10/10 pain. Sounds weird but I didn’t know pain could be that bad.

Point is, it was absolutely horrific and it changed me as a person and probably took me a good couple years to fully get over.

So I agree that people are being too harsh on him.

Does that mean he is incapable of doing wrong? Nope.

But maybe 2 or so months after being in ICU, he is probably not going to have a proportional response to what he normally would emotionally.

Hopefully the club publishes the full presser because this is heavily edited

"Only fuelling speculation". Really? I think meeting with the playing group is a sign he's open to mending things.

My sources tell me he met with the playing group to hand back the coriander Kade Chandler gave him

Thanks for posting that. Surely there’s more to it that? A professional sporting organisation in turmoil over communication issues, I’m not buying it.

Monday 26th ...but a week away.  Whatever is going on, whatever is to happen will surely start taking shape then.

Something is odd, something is wrong...

Can't help but feel we're watching a scripted pantomine.

I too am very confused about all this .

Collingwood players essentially caused both Traccs  and the Brayshaw problems😳

If Tracc were to amazingly end up at Collingwood, l would find it quite bizzare.

Should the  football club ever consider going down this road, many supporters would surely be devastated  and feel very badly let down.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
