Yet a player obviously in severe pain was allowed to return to the game. Rigorous physical testing in the dressing-room would surely have revealed that something serious was amiss. In such a case, the only sensible course is to send the injured player to hospital for further examination.

The decision to clear Trac for a return to the field placed his life in danger.

That, whatever plausible reasons and excuses are offered, is a fact.

I think the point they're making is that he shouldn't have (and anyone else with suspected rib injuries) be sent back on the field.

Not devaluing the importance of Trac to our team or his value on the open market (current injury issues included) but I think a lot here think we're going to get a bounty and might be bitterly disappointed with any haul in a trade. Just my 2 cents.

Not to be a smart alec but watching the incident live and watching him go back on it was blindingly obvious he was in immense discomfort and pain. I even said to my colleague "I can't believe they are letting go back on"

Completely agree. Worth 2 top 10 picks at his best but there is no guarantee he gets anywhere near that again. If there's a single top 10 pick on any table I think the club will seriously consider it. After his ordeal, any club would be taking a huge risk with his contract. 

I can see a reality where we end up paying a significant portion of his contract if he does move...
