Good points. It's more than likely learned behaviour anyway and trauma response to being such a bad team for long peroids of time of their lives. I have been the same but shaken it off years ago.

A realistic view on each season is 1 in 18 chance every time to be premiers, need good management of the club in every facet, healthy players physically, mentally and emotionally, good form and best form during finals, and a bit of luck and that still doesn't guarantee you a GF, let alone winning it. 

But victims? Sheesh, far out. It's a sport, a game and we can't control anything because we are just the fans.

Anyway, I realise this is a CP5 thread so I'll vanish like a fart in the wind into another thread.

Is this the only camp globally available to athletes? Could he have attended another camp and a BNF? Im starting to think where there is a will there is a way. I get the feeling that we are potentially creating new issues where we are treating our players based on their star factor.

It's the same stance I have for the NFL, you make the final 4 (AFC/NFC Championship Games) and that shows you are a good team. After that is when luck kicks in and the fittest/luckiest teams can go all the way.

I think we should have won another flag, but we definitely should have made the prelims to give us that chance.

I had the impression the AFL were concerned that players like Max,Brayshaw, Petracca  and Goody were just too popular, and sticking it up the Media Rabble was too much to swallow. Things just escalated from there as they couldn't really handle it.

Christian Petracca was probably a sneaky chance to win the Brownlow Medal if he hadn't got injured.

However, Patrick Cripps getting 45 votes was absolutely ridiculous.

At least Nick Daicos missed out with an equally amazing 38 votes.

Would love to see Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver or Max Gawn win a Brownlow Medal. But more Premiership Medallions for the Demons are highly more desirable!

The reason Cripps got 45 votes is clearly because they have no other good midfielders. We have had CP5 and Clarry fighting each other (metaphorically) for votes. 
 

If CP5 really does want to go, Carlton clearly need him....

Partially true. Cripps was the Carlton midfield this season. Sam Walsh had a parial pre-season and ongoing back issues (and still got 16 votes) and Cerra had multiple hamstrings, barely played this season.

If Walsh was fully fit, there is no way known Cripps could get 45 votes this season.

Next season, Trac will take votes off Crippa so two Brownlows it will have to have to be for PC9. Hmmm #9, #5 ... 1995 ... its all starting to make sense now 😜

That's due to Daniher "retiring" and going back to TWSNBN for a million a year or more.

Harry is not on the market and he doesn't want to go anywhere. This has been made clear to everyone recently when his name was floated (with no basis in reality) with Petracca possibly leaving the Dees. Barrett probably just wants to generate cheap clicks and views, a barrel scraper.
