Maybe he just wants a brownlow and knows Clarry makes that hard?

I think whoever has advised him has done a horrible job.

Agreed. He is absolutely trashing his brand right now.

it's time to do an update of this classic

I cannot wait for Caro's next column. She nailed the situation perfectly "There is no leadership here" Wants bigger crowds and to increase his brand. She also let it drop. There is a board meeting going on tonight as we speak, and McKay's manager states he is happy at the Blues. I can only hope that CP5 isn't thinking straight and making bad decisions because he is trashing his brand.

I don't think there will be any love for Christian in her next column

hahaha

You're right would be much easier playing alongside Cripps or Daicos

He's not going to get it at Carlton or Collingwood

That is the funny thing. They may think making up public relations style reasons is softening the blow or making it seem reasonable when it comes across as more like Tom 'just having a look' Scully.

FWIW, back at the Richmond Praccy / family day early this year, of all the players to be out there signing autographs, the very last two players remaining out there long after the scheduled closing time were our Titan, Max Gawn, and one Clayton Oliver, battered and bruised from a bone crunching bump, and fresh off the off-season from hell. Speaks volumes about his character.

If there is one thing I will NEVER pot the club over, and I don’t care how much it damaged our “culture” in the media, is the way we stood by and helped Clarry when he was at a low point.
Some things are bigger than football, and players who cannot see that are frankly not good people.

Is there any reason why the latest update regarding Tracc's exit interview has been removed?

that explains why this thread disappeared for 10 minutes

i didn't see anything that broke demonland rules

Maybe our culture is spot on.

Hear me out: is it possible that Trac knows he'll never get back to seriously playing, and he and his beloved club are on the verge of orchestrating one of the greatest draft heists in history, perhaps getting revenge on Collingwood at the same time?

I think he's working really hard behind the scenes to save us from ourselves.

Melbourne want to burn early picks on Houston? Trac tells him not to come. Gonna burn cap space and picks on Lynch? He requests a trade to Carlton for McKay and, wait for it, more high picks.

What a man

Let him go but get the best deal for him. He may be finished as a star player anyway.

A couple of unconnected thoughts.

1. Did he leak the aNB news to distract and cause turmoil to somehow further his ability to leave citing cultural issues?

2. Did Gawn and Viney sign extensions in a response to this whole thing getting beyond control

3. Were our performances pre KB this year as a result of playing group fractures connected to this

4. Is Trac a perennial ‘illness’ when he plays against Melbourne.

5. Have you unfollowed Trac in Insta yet?

Maybe he is planning on retiring and wants to trojan horse his way to the pies first, rock up to preseason with a two month load of Parma on the belly?

Deary me..

Some really startling points in this.

Garry Pert currently in an emergency board meeting discussing all the current matters including the Petracca saga.

Lloyd stating that he's spoken to some current melbourne players that have said that they think would be best if Christian left the club.

Dazz, I think its all over !! Club is now in total Turmoil! NO way Tracc will be at Dees next year ! Huge development!

Curious as to who you think would be a bigger star/calibre of player to leave us since Ron

Greg Wells, Earl Spalding.

Could the fact that there is an ongoing investigation into certain matters have played a role? Are we allowed to mention that if we use vague language?

It’s McKay and the Blues first or no deal.

I'd be wanting more than that. Cerra.

What if the club meets half way for Christian. Yes, we will trade you but only to a club that we believe have the absolute right capital. Maybe that’s West Coast? We were extremely keen on Reid. Maybe it’s North? LDU and pick 2? Christian won’t get everything he wants if he ends up leaving.

But he could get a brownlow

And we need multiple hard running midfielders to replace Tracc, Brayshaw and maybe Clarrie. McKay would be nice but won’t solve our problems if our midfield isn’t functioning.

Just wondering how that conversation goes

“Hey Charlie (cornrow), sounds like petracca may want to come here, how would you like to go to Melbourne?”

Nup

”Hey Harry, Charlie said no, but how about you go to Melbourne instead”

Nup

At least this whole mess might cause some trouble at Carlton - haha

  • AFLW REPORT: Gold Coast

The forecast said wind. The ladder said mismatch. The scoreboard said obliteration. Melbourne didn’t just beat Gold Coast — they dismantled them: 13.15 (93) to 0.6 (6). An 87-point obliteration, the Suns held goalless, and the Demons delivering their second-highest winning margin and third-highest score in AFLW history.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #28 Will Verrall

It was a tough ask for him to break through as a 199cm ruckman in the shadow of an all-time great in that position who is also the club captain. He had some good days at Casey but was unable to progress and was delisted at the end of the season.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #29 Tom Campbell

The 33-year-old Campbell has yet to play AFL football for Melbourne, but his Casey form has been strong and he has been retained as a ready-made ruck depth option who is widely regarded as someone who is excellent for the culture of the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #30 Harry Sharp

The Demons acquired an interesting player in Sharp, who narrowly missed securing a spot in the Lions’ premiership team last year. The 22-year-old medium forward played in the opening round this season and ended up with 18 senior games, although he was substituted in or out in for ten of those matches. He demonstrated glimpses of form, but ultimately ended the year on the margins of the team.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Worked his way back after a slow start and a further slump in form going into the midseason but became a solid contributor for the club in the latter half of 2025. Closing in on 300 goals for the club.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.
