No they don't.

Killing us down the line.

Our defensive talls all at sea. Port just need to kick into their forward 50 and we’re in trouble

Skill errors galore before the goals which was when I said that

Oliver having a bad night.

Four disposals and three have gone straight to opposition.

Sparrow belong fwd ....not middle.

Other way round for me, think middle is his only chance to really make it. Had some good contested touches so far.

I mean we tried hard this quarter. But our skills are atrocious and Tmac and Tomlinson aren’t the right combo to play deep.
And we have no real drive off half back.

At least we won the clearances.

Tmac and Tomlinson

Not instilling heaps of confidence.

Viney, Max and Petty and Kozzys showing some commitment.

How about some positive? The effort is excellent, despite the appalling turnout; Rivers and JV7 are  great, Max is AA again, surely.

Congratulations to the young couple who got engaged.
At least you both get to walk away with a win tonight, regardless of result.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
