Never known a side like us to blow a good lead. We are incapable of playing 4 quarters. Billing’s continues to disappoint.

You didn't see last night's game? It happens, momentum is huge in the modern game.

Lucky they butchered a certain goal

they were a kick away from a GF last year

Because of shoddy umpiring against Pies of course.

Windsor's 1 percenters are incredible for a first year player.

If he doesn't win the rising star, there's something wrong with our game.

(I.e. there's something wrong with our game)

8 tackles, 5 disposals.

GW$ are a very good team - they weren’t going to lie down after QT.

Anb is a great barometer for us. His disposals are well down. Yes he always tackles well but they are not having much impact. Is he playing a tagging role?

In any event it's rare for him to only have five touches.

Oliver is back to his best but he needs some help.

In the first quarter our pressure was off the charts and we were first to the ball.

In the last it was constant catch up .

Bailey Laurie? Haven’t seen much from him

He started strong, I’ve just seen gaping holes in the zone where he is.

Astounding that after so many years we aren't instructing Kozzy (when he's 40+ out and rarely makes the distance) to either find a short target OR HB to a player coming from behind who can.

AMW also is applying great pressure and showing composure in his first few games.

Oliver looking sharp tonight.

I think he's not bad from 40 plus out.

If we get this Oliver back next year, and Trac at full health, we're back in business.

Time to get Turner on IMO.

Death, Taxes, and Langdon kicking it out in the full.

Well done Roohey for taking thw outside 5 for the OOTF kcik in

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
