Elite agility, vision, decision making and kicking skills.

Very good speed, strong at the contest.

Incredible maturity.

The kid will explode when allowed to run into the midfield.  They are clearly protecting him until he beefs up a little.

Already very good, and will become super.

Great rookie pick.  Found an absolute gem.

Just hold yours horses there HT. The kid is just playing his 2nd year. Looks allright, but many a year to go. Champion gets thrown around all to easily round this place.

It's amazing how little this guy gets recognised by the broader football community. I've rarely seen a second year player show as much poise and composure as he does.

I'm predicting him and Rivers to be our two best players in a few years' time.

He's a champion, GTG!

Good one, champion 😅

I'm not him.

He looks better than alright.  Those that know footy will know.

Bernie Vince gave him the 2 votes in the Golden Fist this week. Bernie knows his stuff.

Will eventually be a midfield star as well.

Lloyd gave him votes too. The broader AFL world is starting to notice.

As good as they were I thought Langdons game was outstanding- doesn’t get a lot of cudos

Could go down as one of the best rookies in history the way Juddstar is developing. Reminds me a lot of Pendlebury, especially his calm head and composure under pressure. So happy he plays for the Dees, priority to get him signing an extension IMO.

Yep. Thought Lingers was BOG.

He really is a joy to watch. His balance is unreal, Mr Cool and already a fan fav.
At the ground you wonder how he escapes two players after picking it up.

Silky skills and footy IQ, I mentioned early on that he reminded me of a young Hassa Mann. Judd McVee is just so impressive, 9 coaches votes against a top four side how good is that.

Outstanding game in the wet. I didn’t see him fumble or Second grab the ball at all.

No 2nd year blues with this kid.. Solid and extremely reliable

Need to offer him 5 year contract soon. Let's lock him in long term

Agree. That way, if he backs out after three years, we can demand more at the trade table.

Totally on board with this. The guy is pure silk. Cut from the same shiny cloth as the previous Silk at the Hawks.

Agree with poster above's comments as well in regards to comparisons to Pendles. He just finds space and always does something good with the ball. And when he needs to, turns on the speed and glides (dare I say a bit like silk).

Unbelievable rookie pick by Taylor and just a joy to watch his career unfold.

Agree I hope he can get into that on-ball rotation eventually, will add another dimension to that Midfield.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
