I really like Roo as a 2nd ruck. It's no conincidence we got flogged when he was out of the side.

Useless.

Certainly looks that way.

Bowey hasn't been the same since his injury.

If he isn’t up to it he should not be playing. Pure and simple

I may be wrong here but perhaps they’re talking about the principle? Particularly as sub. That is, if you’re good enough for the firsts, you can play a full game. OTOH, someone has to be sub.

I personally don’t really have a strong view on debutantes starting as sub - as long as they get a run in the game.

The other thing with this is that I am pretty certain Goody or someone within the coaching group, or Richo has said publicly that they wouldn't play a first gamer as the sub, as it's a special occasion, they look after the family, fly those from interstate etc...

PS,... Tholstrup looking lively

Good start.  4 goals a quarter wins games

Finally a replay of Max being clobbered. 4 [censored] didn’t see it???

But good attack chin and finish

May has started better

Oliver more focused on fighting with phillips.  You're the better player. Use your skills

Liking Tholstrup getting more of the ball. His belief seems to be rising.

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?
