Watching the Roos ... talk about a rabble.  I know i know they're mostly young rookies give them time blah blah.

But it's like watching a VFL team vs an AFL team

Thought they would be better than they have shown so far.

There are quickly becoming three groups with Hawthorn, North and Eagles at the bottom. Probably six teams at the top and then the rest in the middle.

I usually wait till the mid season bye to assess relative merits. The big disappointment of our loss to the Lions was that it definitely brought us back to the pack. Long way to go though

Every time I watch a game at GMHBA I wonder when we are going to get $500 million to build a stadium at Casey that accommodates 40,000 people, of which we allow only 500 opposition supporters?

No club has the deal Geelong has. Even the interstate clubs. All the catering rights, all the super box revenue all the ground advertising. The list goes on. And to think they pay a pittance

North wearing black armbands in memory of the mum who died yesterday in the Bondi stabbing attack, Ashlee Good, who was the daughter of former North player, Kerry Good. Tragic.

Yet another easy kill for Jeeelong at Tax Payer Park

What can you say, except they are vile

Geelong kick the ball 8 metres and it’s called a mark.

That rule is the most inconsistently adjudicated law in our sport.

The whole thing stinks. It’s the biggest advantage in the AFL, and by some margin.

North just should have gone to the Gold Coast. This is a long term disaster, with 2 new teams coming in. How are these 3 bottom teams going to improve?

AFL this is on you….

They may well be a rabble but I reckon we could slot Harry Sheezel into our 22. Absolute star who I probably think goes under the radar.

Tigers missing 7 of their top 12 players through injury

Eagles will be priming themselves for this one

It is beyond tragic ... RIP Ashlee and the 5 others who were murdered.

Her 9 month old daughter was also attacked, but thankfully survived. But she will grow up without her mum.

  • Good's nine-month-old baby was rushed to hospital on Saturday and is now "doing well" after hours of emergency surgery, her family said in a statement.

It is beyond belief that this happened.

McKercher should be a beauty also

The media will be in hysterics over Geelong’s 5-0 start but it’s worth noting that their opposition has a combined 5-20 record.

They have Brisbane and Carlton coming up.

It's called a "clean stadium". Melbourne still waiting for just $1 from the State Govt/AFL.

And us at the G, really hope we win that one.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
