Not sure North are a rabble.

Definitely not. They have some young A listers and a good coach.

I can't get a handle on Freo. In 2022 it looked like they were on the way to battling for a top 4 spot in 2023 but it's been all downhill

North in the 70’s lost the first 6 games and then made the GF

’76 i think

This piqued my interest and given the time I have on my hands, I looked it up on AFL Tables.

In '76, they lost the first three games.  In '75, they lost the first four before going on to their first flag.

They never lost the first six in the period 1974-78 when they made the GF every year.

Luke Jackson, generational. What a loss for us

He’s a freak; but, sadly, we knew that.

When he starts to run with the ball a bit and kick more he’ll tear matches apart.

Another JT special.

Apparently half the leagues recruiters didn’t have him as a top 5 pick back in 2019.

May be top of the iceberg.
Taylor called a beauty and wore a lot of criticism for it.

Don't think we need to clap for Jackson this year.

Fair chance ! The front on vision will [censored] him. He braced and turned into Cunningham in my view.

No attempt to spoil or mark.

OK Collingwood lost, we won,  now I want to sit down tonight with my Chinese food after a good day at the footy & watch the swans give the bummers a drubbing

Wright should have had his arms out like he is trying to take a mark, but he tucked up and turned do gone for a while

Lol, Langford marked that ball on the Hume Highway

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
