Household ritual:

Celebrating: "Nibbler gets a goal?"

Genuine concern: "Who is going to hug him?"

We're on!

Oliver just steals it from English. Good goal Chandler!

This will do chandlers confidence a power of good. He’s playing well

the lights are on at the mcg, at 1:45pm on a sunny 30⁰ sunday arvo

Bang bang bang ??

Nice lil round of applause for Harmesy's first touch.

Dogs continue to go too tight in the contest against our midfielders. Haven't learnt their lesson since 2021. Most teams let us win more of the contested ball in the middle but stop us getting out the front. Today we've already kicked a few goals from it

The Chandler bashers can take a week off

Was that in slow motion?

BBB running like a gazelle!

Couple of things, anyone questioning Clarry’s fitness or readiness to play, there is your answer (if you still need it), or ANB, refer to his goal. Good to see Chandler find some footy even if a little was fortuitous. But took chances. Seems a confidence player so maybe this is what he needs.

lastly, big Benny Brown, you can’t not smile when he kicks one. Magnetic.

I genuinely thought Ben Brown would be out until mid-season or maybe never return, so that goal was a particular joy.

Meanwhile, in-form Chandler is as good as any small forward in the game. Smooth out his slumps and he is an absolute gun.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
