JUH not being at Monday training after being at the boxing on Saturday is curious.

Could not help but notice the following in the next SEN article:

Former Docker, Sun and Demon Harley Bennell kicked 6 goals to help guide the Lions to a 9-point win over Dederang Mount Beauty FNC 15.8 98 to 12.17 89.

Hardley would be handy

I would definately like lobb at Dees!

You are the most bizarre poster, PF.

Lobb is a massive dud on a fat contract, absolutely no interest

I don’t think he’s part of the problem. He plays the secondary sacrificial role. Problem is that JUH and Naughton play the same style of game. Both are stay at home forwards. Either JUH gets on his bike and plays more in the style of Jezza or he goes.

Nah.

Bont will never leave, doing so would throw that club into utter turmoil and irrelevance. I also think it would be a burden/luggage for Bont to the extent it will affect his footy. As much as every other club would want him, i hope he sorts out whatever riff raff he has going on and stays to be a 1 club player. He is one of the greats of the modern era.

I think the forwardline configuration last night might have raised a few eyebrows at the kennell. Naughton looked so much better without the congestion. Lobb played his role much more effectively too. Either JUH has to come up much more forward and give Naughton space or they move Naughton into the back line. Playing them like they do is not working. Realistically, its hard to see a situation where they trade him...

Absolutely— dog for life barring a late want to get out of Melb bubble & heads to GC/Bris/WC/Freo/Syd/GWS but that’s a 5% chance at best, moving to a Melb club is I’d say 0.05% unfortunately.. I debate it in my head how much he’d add, fwd craft def makes it appealing but I’d be more inclined to go all in for Harley— now THAT is more of a chance.. But we’d have every VIC club to compete with & Geelong odds-on given he’s a cat supporter & it’s close to home.

No way on earth will WC let Harley go and if they did it’ll only be to a club that give them 3 first rounders and 2of those at the pointy end.

He is suring up as the player that may just be one of the greats of all time.

Ridiculous call this early.

Was never leaving.

So who leaves now? It has to be Smith they cannot afford him.

Naughton will have to go back. They are too tall forward heavy.

Lobb will probably go too.

Not unless the dogs agree to pay part of his salary Mr leg. Who would pay that price for a VFL player?

They will.

Silly move by the Dogs. Like us with Grundy they now have too much of their salary cap in one area. They will also need to re-contract young Darcy soon.

Meanwhile their backline screams out for improvement

Lobb will go, perhaps Smith as well.

a million a year. you’d want to be kicking 65+ for that

The shortest million dollar per year contract ever?

At his current goal average he is a bit over half that. He also misses games so could be well less than that.

2 year Contract. He is still unsure…

Let’s see who leaves The Dogs at years end…

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
