Demon Shop closing from 9th February to 1st March

On a slightly related note, and because I didn’t want to start an entirely new topic - it’s time that we gave NB the flick. They’ve been great over a sustained period, but if you look at the range they have produced this year, it is boring, dull and unimaginative. The off-field range is literally just a navy canvas with patches stuck on it and a red zipper where appropriate. If that’s where we are at with merch, then we really don’t understand branding.

while I’m on it…we have stuck the MFC monogram on the jumper. There was a thought when the logo was redesigned tht the MFC monogram would be what the Yankees NY in respect of city wide identity. It may have been a pipe dream, but sticking it on the the jumper demonstrates we haven’t given up on the idea. However, take a look at the merchandise on the Demon shop. Barely another item using the solo monogram. Not a single baseball hat that is just a monogram. It shows we really don’t get it at all. The idea and thought is there, the execution is appalling

Of course she's good 'picket'...

You don't have her level of sustained success if you're not.

Ahm Gary Glitter??

I said sustained success 'picket'...Glitter has had nowhere near the career.

She's been topping the charts for over 15 years now.

Personally I don't like stadium shows at all...much prefer more intimate venues with musicians really playing, taking chances and not just regurgitating the record.

She''s not my cup of tea is Taylor but the girl has got a load of talent.

The large brown area is where the stage will be.

The MFC admin staff have to relocate and work from home and/or Casey and/or AAMI for 10 days. No functions will be held during this time. If a room that has windows which overlook the ground does have to be used during the lead-up to the concerts, the windows will be ‘blacked out.’ There are huge black curtains already erected between the concourse and the ground level seating. All this because Mz Swift demands total secrecy. She doesn’t want the details of her spectacle to be known before the event.

As for the Demon Shop, I was there today and asked about them shutting, and it seems one reason is because it’s not worth opening when there’ll be so few people wandering in and out of the ‘G. (Many people who visit the ‘G incorporate a visit to the Demon Shop.) I don’t know why they’re shutting for such a long time though.

That's where they've taken the drop-in wicket out. The main stage is at the city end.

Thanks Ben

Out off curiosity why are there no seats available on the mid level of the Northern Stand. Seems a massive area if that's the lighting and sound control area.

What time frame are there no functions?  The Coterie Season Launch is advertised as being in the MCC Dining Room on 22 February.

Whoever runs and whoever located the Demon Shop where it is  have no idea of business principles.

they should have negotiated and got a demountable ( one exists near Gate 3)  Surely they could have one located near the MCC members.

Just  seems as though they are taking a holiday as it is too long a break.

Will they open up for replacement time like  a Sale afternoon to get more merch sold?

Also why didn’t they let fans know about it weeks ago so they could cash in before the shut  down?  Too much effort ?

Can’t believe MFC have to move from their office spaces. That’s ridiculous.

What about $$$ compensation from the MCC also to Admin and Demon Shop?

Rant over but Pi.. off back to USA Tay Tay.

Demon shop is moving everything to Casey so maybe they are planning a "pop up" for the 18th. I would ring the shop and confirm.

Actually when posting previously I eodeted if that may be possible as Casey is used most frequently, big day on 18th it is a good move under the circumstances.

well done DSHop.

It looks to me that every bay has seating available in the Northern stand (apart from those behind the stage). It's comparatively emptier on the map compared to the Southern stand due to most of the Northern stand only having three levels for seating (apart from P42-45 in the MCC Members), compared to the Southern stand's four.

I know the admin have been told to move out by her security team to. Doubt they'd give 2 hoots.

Do they know that we are a business trying to run things and make money?

Imagine if a singer who was performing came to travis's team and said get out I'm playing.

a teenager rang up the radio. said she got tickets at $1200. She's got tickets for all 3 concerts. Her family of 5 are all going to first one.  and ... she's been to 4 previous swift concerts (presumably overseas).

now 7 tickets at $1200 is a heck of a lot of spondulaks. even 1 ticket at $1200 is big time, and considering most attendees are young teens the bank of the parent must be working overtime

in times of inflation and thrift it all seems way over the top

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
