I believe there are still 33 senior players left on the list as printed. Maybe you counted Tommo and ANB as off the list ?, thanks for your hard work Luci, hard to keep up with all the comings and goings.

Yes, thanks for picking that up,

Fixed now :)

Cheers.  The thanks go to @red and blue forever as he has taken over this thread.

And agree it is tricky keeping up with all the changes at this time of year.

Confession time:  it was me that suggested to randbf the number was 32!!!  I inadvertently excluded ANB.

Hunter was re-signed through to 2024 at the Dogs.

So we must have given him an extra year to coax him to the MFC.

Either way, unbelievable that he'll be with us next year.

I still don't think this has been confirmed anywhere.

The only news sources available that I can find state 2024. Sure there are some other unofficial sites that list him as 2025, but no primary or even secondary sources that I can find.

We don’t have to fret any more as MFC have advised that Lachie Hunter effectively retired today.

Well done red and blue forever, so if Adam Tomlinson moves on, we work out a deal for ANB and we don’t re-sign Marty Hore we have a lot of spots to fill.!!!

Hi Red&Blue thanks for all your good work.
Do we know for certain that Melksham was retained as a rookie and not put back on the main list?

Does AMW need to find his way to the main list like mcvee? He has had 3 years as a b rookie but i can't find the rule about whether he can have a fourth?

Way to go with ANB and Hore. Tommo not fazed either way.

Very good question, I am not sure, and have been wondering the same.

Update for Tom Campbell joing us in Free agency.

I am struggling to find out the length of the contract anywhere, so I have put him in for 2 years - 2026 - This is a Guess.

I will update this if required when i can get some proper information on his contract.

Thanks red and blue forever.❤️💙

The list is not a bad spread.   14 players 22 or under  the rest split evenly mid 20's and late 20's to early 30's  Then add in another probably 5 or 6 younger ones at draft.   Gives the opportunity for rebuild whilst retaining experience.   If they lose both Hore and Thomlinson we will be desperate for some back up defenders.

Why is Campbell signed for 2 years? I thought it would be only 1 considering his age.

Update for Sharp.

Again unsure at this stage of the contract lengths for Campbell and Sharp to some guesswork being employed

footywire has Campbell until 2025

I'd guess Sharp would have a minimum of two years given his age.

We have the following jumper vacancies: 10, 12, 19, 20?, 27?, 29, 30, 34, 43

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
