I would have thought that no supporter gives up caring, no matter what......

I will always be a melb supporter i just done see the point in making a run for the finals when we always stuff up unless in top 4 and we need draft picks

ur not a melbourne supporter! u have no faith in the dees whats so ever.. yes we are not gonna make make finals but one thing u could try is be a bit positive and get behind the boys.. we are a young side with a positive future ahead of us once fit and firing. i dont think u have watched many melbourne games? we have played just about every kid on our list besides the rookie list players. what more can u want?

as Doggo24 suggested, go with Bell. He's been a great improver this year and doing this will not only give him great experience but show some real faith in him (much the same way as we did for Bartram last year).

The more i think about Bell on Judd, the more i like the idea of it.

What is the worst thing that could possibly come from it? (Other than Judd being B.O.G, which in all likeliness, will probably happen regardless of match up)

yeah, and bell will learn so much from it as well.

geez he's impressed me this year. i had my, quiet, concerns, but this year he has really shown such maturity. playing on judd would really show him the next level of his game which i'm sure he can get to

U dont call me a melb supporter haha. Who the hell can tell me if i am or aint a supporter. At least im not one of thoes around bagging the likes of Bate and Godfrey only to have it thrown back in their face. I love the dees but i dont like how they are managing the list. To say anymore would be going round in circles. But jesus u have read posts about Bate being trade bait and Godders getting the sack even last year and yet u crusify someone who has never doubted them. Hang ur head in shame!

Godfrey to Kerr. Kerr is a firecracker and wont deal well with the constant pressure. He will get frustrated and lose his concentration, maybe even take a shot at Godders nuts :P Not sure who goes to Judd, probably Junior. We need Travis free to hurt the opposition, Bruce mopping up around halfback and pushing into the midfield, and Jones getting the hard ball for us.

Can i assume that because you won't respond to me that you've conceeded your "youth policy" remark.

How 'bout this....

No one tags anyone and we have a good old fashion shoot-out at Subi.....

We may lose by 10 goals but at least it will be a fast, high scoring match....

Let ND tag Woosher and that is all....

:D

We ARE playing the kids, and many of them are showing the way. You can't just pack a team full of young players and hope they'll learn their lessons, your reasoning makes no sense.

Interesting article on Realfooty: Tigers' young hopes sacrificed in push for consistency.

Quote:

Richmond football operations manager Paul Armstrong said the changes reflected the fact that young players sometimes struggled for consistency. "Young boys, when they're not winning, their form fluctuates a bit," he said from Adelaide last night.

So you're right Pates ... packing a team full of youngsters is suicide, as Richmond has learnt.

unfortunately that would leave only one team high scoring, i reckon we play our best, and most free-flowing footy, when we go man on man around the ground, and run from there. tagging people won't make it a low scoring match, as last week showed

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
