Did anyone hear Craig McRae say to the reporters “See you in a couple of weeks” at the end of his presser on Tuesday?

Its been reported by Code/HS that his little quip angered a few of our officials and some players

I did see that and I just though might see you a bit sooner [censored]. I really want to see how he handles losing. I reckon he would be a bad loser.

I’m out in Dandenong doing something for a friend. I’ll need to be fumigated on my way back to the MCG. Im not making any eye contact out here - is good training for Head Quarters tonight.

Rain is here

No rain in the west we actually have some sunlight, must be coming from the North- North East. Hopefully the wind blows it out in time for the game.

Pies considering a late change?

2 rucks is disaster tonight

A front with rain coming thru soon.

But with the wind will pass in a couple of hours.

Then there is another band which might come thru two hours later.

Ground will be slippery, and it will be very windy, but we might get lucky with the rain

But it's true. After losing tonight the Pies beat tomorrow's winner and bingo he's back in two weeks.

He showed glimpses of churlishness this year. Like most coaches he's. Friendly and amusing till it all goes south.

What did he say last year after the Geelong loss? Or the Sydney loss?

I'm supposed to be sketching a custom shaped workstation so we can put the order in with factory.

Seriously any chance of a few straight desks with 4 legs this Thurs arvo?

Just submit a blank page and call the work station minimalist, ethically sourced and carbon neutral.  Done.

Is it too warm to wear a beanie?

I am outta here! Time to get out of Collingwood territory and somewhere else!

Rain is now less likely a major factor. We have this, sensing a real vibe!

If we convert our chances we win. If that I’m 99%.

Clarry to EXPLODE tonight

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
