A few obvervations but it was a very short and light session so don't read too much into it:

The end to end no pressure drill suits Hunter but he really is a beautiful kick of the footy

Oliver had the fumbles

Kozzie was taking set shots at the end and wasn't setting the world on fire with either drop punts or across the body shots

Chandler gets some real penetration on his kicks with little effort

Smith was a no show. I've got no idea how our forward setup would look without him so I'm guessing Collingwood will be in the same boat. Hopefully he is fine

Yeah it's pretty amazing how much Hunter manages to fly around with relative ease. Covers so much ground and was probably only in 2nd gear.

Turned up just as they were walking out through the spectator's guard of honour (also as they left, though no time taken to sign anything).

Appears they are focused internally.

The session was fumbly and with bad deliveries early on. The wind was very gusty. At one stage Williams pulled them up, and call out “lift the standards”, they responded well.

They were low-key out there, the effort was made by the youngsters and those on the periphery of selection.

Noise volume by the players was underwhelming.

I get the impression that they have cocooned themselves, and are going about it with each other. Probably good news, as they are the ones who need to find themselves in the zone tomorrow, blocking the external noise out, may help.

Go Dees

What kind of dentist doesn't stiff other clients so Joel can take their appointment at a better time!

A Collingwood supporting one?

Must be really struggling for business. Not many teeth amongst his target audience.

I really REALLY wanted a sausage and am so annoyed I didn't have time to get one.

The regret is so thick right now you could cut it with a Rex Hunt fish cleaning knife.

You missed out big-time, Layz. The sausages were cooked perfectly, as was the onion. We sold everything. We didn’t expect there to be so much of a demand, so we’re pretty stoked. We got heaps of tips and ‘keep the change’ and one bloke straight up donated $50! Demons supporters are so generous. It also helps if the cash register biattch greets the customers nicely despite running on only three hours sleep and one… I repeat, ONE coffee. And a small one at that. 🙃

Definitely the reason why I didn't want to bother you 🤪

Do you take cards at these things? Need to know to save future embarrassment.

I've still got the BBQ smell on the mind, Anyone feel like cooking some sausages at a park close to me this arvo? Haha.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
