Strange? Not at all. This is how the Club successfully keeps things under wraps. Even players’ parents aren’t told things that the Club want kept secret.

So, how did the journo find out? The journo in question is Clint Stanaway. Clint’s dad works for the Club, he does the strapping of players etc. and has done for 30 years.

Mods, feel free to delete this post if you feel it may be problematic.

I would say then that this is a conflict of interest! Clint Stanaway should have stayed silent.. But after all he is a journo, and a BLOODY GOOD ONE AT THAT!

Unless the Club wanted it leaked out that way.

Why not? Clearly moonboots aren’t just for a new injury or re-injury, because Fritta’s not suffering either of those.

Unnecessary worry right here. Understandable, but nonetheless unnecessary. 🙂

Yeah, righto WAR.. as u know I love ur work!😎🤩

Moon boots hold the ankle in a neutral position, 90 degrees to the leg. The boots immobilise foot joints and reduce pressure on the bones, ligaments and tendons of the foot and ankle while still allowing for a relatively normal walking gait.

Most people usually find that the moon boot can drastically reduce pain. It can help them get around without limping or the use of crutches

It provides less stress on bones and ligaments then it would trying to limp around on without one.

Thanks Daz, as an Ex Phys ed person, I should have known that!🥴

He’s also a hardcore Dees tragic, as is his dad. Clint’s a really nice person, too. I just hope they aren’t in trouble for this. Although now I’m wondering if this was orchestrated by the Club just to mess with Magpie heads. Maybe I just read DL too much. 😂

See above, Beez.

The game is as much between the ears WCW .

We're playing them...and not just next Thursday ;)

A fabulous film..." the man who wasn't there "   context... look it up and have a ponder.

Love messing with faux intellects 😉

So this could be independent from the original injury.

No. The only injury here is the injury to our intelligence. “Race against time” LOL.

I read he’s in a moonboot then immediately boarded a flight.
Landed to 109 texts from my dad and videos from channel 7 showing he’s in a race against time.
I am still on the plane hyperventilating.
Thanks for the reassurance @WalkingCivilWar

Now please someone get the witch to lift the forwardline spell!

Mum - Bailey!  Whats this I hear about you in a moon boot?

Bailey - Mum, geez relax.

Bailey - Muuuummmm I'm trying to get my daily haircut here

Poor old Paulsy broke her fibula in three places. 😭 Her dad (Grandpa Fritta) had a quad bike accident a few weeks ago and ended up with eight broken ribs. Her mum (Grandma Fritta) had a fall in Hobart when we played there recently and broke her wrist. When Pauline rang me from the hospital last week she said, “it’s all Bayley’s fault… he started this run of broken bones!” 😂

I've suggested we need to wrap them all in cotton wool. I spoke to Scott after the Hawthorn game, I don't think I'll mention his "injury".

After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. He has re-signed on to the Demons for 1 more season in 2025. Date of Birth: 12 August 1991 Height: 186cm Games MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 229 Goals MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 188

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
