Trying to make the connection between this thread and our last game.
Has Buddy come out of retirement already?

Collingwood are…what's the phrase? All duck no dinner?

Eventually the ducks come home to roost.

You'd hate to be a pies defender. Mids do not win a contest, and they don't run defensively so you're always out of position with no support.

Good play by George at Bunnings warehouse during the ad break then.

Impact player.

I never understand why some commentators refer to certain players by both names (Christian/surname), as if they have a hyphenated name. e.g. Isaac Smith ... there is only one Smith on the ground. Bobby Hill's another. Taylor Adams. And Hoskin Elliott ... oops, that is a hyphenated surname!!

It's usually players with surname-like Christian names, especially the Bulldogs' Baileys (x3) - Smith/Williams/Dale. A few others ... Touk Miller, Conor Nash, Zac Bailey (what is it about Bailey?), Dyson Heppell.

I think I have too much time on my hands.

im cheering every goal coz i hate each team

guess i’m glass half full?

Looks like Darcy Moore is gone for the night?

Reckon Ollie Henry plays as a forward a lot like Tom Hawkins (albeit 20/30kg lighter) - might be the succession plan

Get em cattas!

Surely after his last couple to forget against us he isn’t thinking about getting another bath from S. May as a farewell?

The pies are in serious trouble. At this point you wonder if they'll win another game this season.

Darcy Moore has done a hammy. Looks a 4 weeker

I hope the Swans play buddy against us. Improves our chances of winning.

Nah. That’s not accurate at all.

We face the same threat as other teams jostling for a final 8 position…

and that is a show of brutality in a psychological edge as we enter September.

Moore, case-in-point.

I'm torn.

Cats to lose to increase likelihood of missing out on finals.

Pies to lose to have 3 losses in a row and destroy all momentum going into finals.

Also can't stand either team.

Moore hamstring is huge. If bad enough, first game back could be first final. Risky.

We play footy the right way. Collingwood don't. No comparison.

The Filth are TOTALLY PAAAARKED for the season Moore done with season ending Hamstring. LUURVING THIS GO JEELONG🤣

Wash my mouth out.  Go.     Cats

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
