dees189227 12,513 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 The footy gods nearly did it. What a shame. But gee if you're an Essendon fan you wouldn't be happy. 5 Quote

YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Have been saying for a while that these teams outside the eight are so so dangerous. A few teams are finding that out now. Hopefully we have been taking note. 1 Quote
Maldonboy38 6,435 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 I have been doing some light gardening, listening to the Crows v Suns game via the AFL app, choosing the ABC stream hoping it wouldn't the biased carp we get from 5AA. BIG mistake! You would have thought they were getting paid by each compliment they could give Crows players, with passing mention of anything the Suns did. 1 Quote
YearOfTheDees 3,266 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Could this be The Pies first goalless first quarter this year. 1 Quote
BDA 23,048 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Hawks always have a dip. Their problem has been running out of gas late in games. Hopefully they can see this through today. 2 Quote
binman 44,835 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Gary Lyon - let's see how this GREAT side responds. For the love of God, they are not a great side. 4 1 1 Quote

Chook 15,069 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Hawks aren't even playing that well and Collingwood are being exposed out the back and can't score. Howe is just about the Pies best player so far. Quote
dees189227 12,513 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 So Essendon have nth next week but then have gws then Collingwood. You'd think there lousy percentage would keep them out of finals and they'd lose the last 2 1 Quote
Maldonboy38 6,435 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Hawks are actually a well drilled team, they just can't sustain it. They often start really well only to get overtaken half way through the 3rd quarter. Watching them now, their midfield play is really strong, and those young guys are sprinting to the next pace over and over again. High quality. The Pies are playing loose (again), and the Hawks are pressuring the kicker rather than the ball carrier. Let's see if the Pies can reverse this earlier than the last quarter. 1 Quote
