I don't think enough has been said about Woey keeping his spot with other players available. Well done lad, keep it going.

Absolutely.

He will keep improving with experience.
Is very composed with his disposal and that is something a few in our side lack.

We have found another soldier.

Is Hibbo still being ,managed? I want him Cherry ripe for later in the year

will allow Bowey to go forward where he will be a great link man

JS the sub?

Not sure why people are hung up on this.  Bowie is not going forward.  we would have seen it already.

Not a hang up just think he would really impact with good decisions and skill

Allow Hibbo to do what he does I want both in the team

This.

I think his current position is as forward as he’ll get, he’s a lock in the defensive set up but the press allows him to get up to 50 and occasionally sneak in and be a target or have a shot if his opponent isn’t paying attention.

Wouldn’t expect to see him ever playing as a forward.

he has been training and playing as a def all year, it's not a smart move to put someone into a new system and expect them to learn it in 5 weeks.

Very good way to confuse a player and stunt development too.  Bowie is a great backman and should stay there.  the players that would move for Hibbo would be Brayshaw and Rivers who have both had midfield roles this year so have been training in that area.

agree 100% he is very damaging up higher, but as a def. as is Salem.

You need to consider we have had many weeks with no Salem or Hibberd injured/managed and no Oliver meaning Brayshaw into the pivot meaning he has generally had a spot in the back 7 most weeks. McVee and Rivers sustained impact and Bowey’s recent return to form means something has to give if they want Hibbo into the run for finals. Bowey is too good to be at VFL so considering his skill set may fill the gap left by Spargos current and Chandlers recent form it seems a alternative we should consider over omission even if not tried before now.

Good changes. Chandler lucky to come back in after not showing too much at Casey but we need his run and pressure.

I reckon if he kicks a goal or two the wheel will turn for him

Crows significantly impacted by their outs. Laird is huge

I think Goody is showing who he wants in the finals side. Jvr didn't knock the door down but is back. Having said that, I think Goodwin will test both of these players and he's not afraid of dropping them again. Despite Goody saying there's plenty of time left to sort things out, there isn't. It's crunch time. Jvr, Chandler and Bbb are all in the mix. We need at least one tall so Jvr or Bbb are a lock one would think. Hopefully Grundy comes in soon to pick up the slack so to speak. Big game for Melksham again . If Fritta returns to fitness, he's definitely coming in for finals so it's up to Milk to keep his spot. No reason we can't have two mediums.

He doesn't play those positions, he hasn't trained for it and doesn't know the system properly.  Yes he is a brilliant by foot but thats no good if he isn't putting on pressure and in the right spots.

Brayshaw is a midfielder and i think thats where he wil be even at full strength, its exactly what we did last year this time.

Why would he be omitted? Rivers is playing more up the ground in the Wing rotation Brayshaw is in the middle.

Rivers has played a few rotations in the middle but to my knowledge has never lined up on a wing. If Hibberd plays this week who is your back 7 or are we changing our structure to a back 8. To be clear my preference would be stick with the back 7 and manage Hibbo as next up if required. However I would not want to see Bowey out of the 22 and would prefer a creative solution if that becomes a potential possibility in a role that would be available on recent form of Spargo and. Chandler.

Danger game.   Crows on the rebound after last quarter fade out. They’ve got some talent and we will need to watch Rankine who usually plays well against us.  Judd Mcvee gets the job imv and I’ll back him in. May gets Tex and Tomlinson on Fogarty.  Backs with Lever as intercept look ok.
Without Laird, our midfield clearly should win the day. Gawn and the Mids will give us plenty of supply so like to see JVR and BBB actually hit the scoreboard and nail a few goals each.  Kozzzy to light it up hopefully.

Do the have a backline, Is that their weakness?

Does anyone know with the AFL app to watch games whilst abroad can you watch replays or only live?

thanks

My overseas mate (UK) watches replays on Watchafl (either that or he'd had to be up in the middle of the night for live games).

Actually, it’s the complete reverse. The player in question is arguably the player least bagged on DL. Besides that, he couldn’t give a fat rat’s about anything that’s said about him or his teammates. That’s as much of a hint as I’ll give since I know that people who you’d think don’t read DL, actually do. 😉

The young kids are by far and away the most approachable and the least impatient, without exception.

Anyways, I need to apologise to *anyone who read my comments very late last night on this thread (which have since been deleted, thank you Andy and it won’t happen again, I promise). I just need to remember in future to hide my phone from drunk me.

*except for the two posters who rattled my cage last night. I don’t remember what I said but a very good buddy of mine on here screenshot it before the mods deleted and just sent it to me and yeah, I still don’t apologise to those two. But sincere apologies to everyone else. 💕

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
