Gus letting his man roam free at half forward as usual. Allows the deep inside 50 and you never know what they’ll create from there

If Gold Coast were a half decent footy club with some mongrel they'd pump us by 10 goals. They want it way more. If we switch it on just a bit we win. Gold Coast has a huge opportunity here.

Lazy tackle by Fritsch.

Ben King’s second touch, not all May’s fault

firstly, they're not a club they're a franchise

they are however playing well as a team

Love Bowza.

Also, that was a mess.

Would be nice to get some i50 marks. They seem to be all over us back there.

Terrible inside 50 from Oliver but you’ll take it

allowing to many GC players to run free, we always have trouble with teams that do that. We are lucky their disposal rate is not higher or we would be behind. we just dont know how to handle sides the run with the ball. Collingwood, Essendon and even Brisbane do it and we just dont cover the player running past, free players ahead, etc. I expect we will win, but so far not a very impressive performance that could very easily turn into a loss. where is the skill and precision we saw a part of at least against north.

Collingwood would murder us if we paly like this

Bowey is the most reliable player in our side at the moment.

We are a club with a strong culture getting seriously challenged by a team with no culture. Embarrassing 🤦🏼‍♂️

lol Hunter what are you doing.

He disposed there

Hunter.  What were you thinking?  Or, what, were you thinking?

Derrwayne and Dunstan seeing every little thing GC way.  Pathetic barracking.

This game doesn’t make sense.

Why put a skinny kid like Turner on a bloke like Casboult?

We are just bombing it anywhere into our forward line and it’s easily getting picked off.

Lever, Oliver and Fritter need to lift big time.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
