Bummer.  Pies won

At least Essendon is out of the 8 and they can stay there

As seen last season their win at the death game wins a lot of games but doesn’t stand up in finals.

Curious, have you ever come on this thread to talk about other games?

All I see is your negativity towards us.

Troll

The crows played as if they would lose in the last 45 mins. why not keep attacking??

Bugger it. Thought short break would have cost the pies in the last. Crows should have been out of sight before then. Adelaide were poor in the last.
Pies deserve to be top but they are beatable

Pies would have won by 5 + if it were a normal break between games. Crows missed an opportunity

rookie mistake, But you have to hand it to the pies non-stop effort.

Pulled the shutters up with 4 mins left. Most here would agree that 4 mins was more like 8. They needed to keep creating chances, they literally invited the Collingwood method in through rhe door and stuffed it.

Really wanted Adelaide to do us a favour, but justice was served in terms of result. Umpires need a full review at the end of year, I just get the impression there is not a big enough base to produce all the cream required for top level. I mean FFS, the standard atm makes Razor look good.

I think Collingwood's best is only 4th or 5th in the comp after Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane and maybe Carlton, but they look to have the smallest gap between their best and worst by a fair distance.

I’ve been watching footy all my 5 decades, and this is the best last quarter team I’ve ever seen. By a galaxy. They are also currently the best team in the AFL, it’s unarguable. And I hate it.

Calm down lol

They’re good but I’d pick us or Geelong over them still.

5 goals to Weid? Nice job son.

I also look forward to seeing your thread bumped for the whole week again.

This thing with the filth is a mental game play. They know they can come back and beat a side in the last quarter and the opposition have it in their head that the filth will over run them. Change this situation ( another side beating the filth in a tight last quarter ) a couple of times and watch them start to fold.

Atill can't believe it, from pillar to post they gift wrapped that last quarter. Pathetic

Of course, everyone’s beatable, they’re just the hardest to beat. If it stays that way through September, the flag is theirs.

😆 I’ll happily come back to this when we’re hoisting the flag

Melbourne v Collingwood is the Grand Final that the Australian Football League, and Australia, needs.

If we ever come up against the filth in a final we just have to tag Nick Daicos, completely shut out of the game.

unarguable? i’d argue the best would be judged by winning flags. they just fluked a win against a team that finished 14th last year. if the crows kicked even just a few of the dozen of points they would have won. sure they have great belief but they are nothing special

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
