A fixturing blunder. I know I'm speaking to the wrong crowd as it seems everyone has been watching from the start but I'm not even home yet amd it's half time. If MFC had this timeslot I'd be ropeable, sort it out next time.

To be fair, the amount of people interested in this game are 9 GC fans, the 14 Freo fans who haven’t yet fallen into a deep depression and Melbourne supporters death rising Freo. It’s not exactly a blockbuster.

We’re big fans of the time slot and Friday night double header in my household, but the footy fans here are a tradie apprentice who starts and finishes early, a uni student and myself that works from home. Won’t suit everyone.

But think of the 1.4 billion market in China that Port's games in Shanghai made available to us

If you're a Freo fan the game started at 3pm Perth time.
They'd never schedule West Coast at that time.

That new bloke in the suns forward line looks alright. Hope they stay in front.

Another nice mark and goal by Dogga.

Not going to suit the vast majority of people I'd say. Glad you enjoy it though

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
