11 of the top 13 AFL fantasy point scorers have been Hawks today.

Oh. Great.

Nth are back on the reality bus now. You would have expected them to win today.

Gee Sam Mitchell will be secretly doing cartwheels.

The smile has gone from Clarkson's face.

Merge them and relocate south.  Throw in Saints as well so as not to have an odd number of teams.

I caught some of the last quarter possibly some of the worst football I've ever seen.

Since the Neeld years.

F me i just got cold chills from mentioning his name.

Both arrogant truckers.

I never thought Silvagni would make it but he's turned into a very useful player.

I'll open a decent shiraz if GWS knock off the paper baggers !

Open it anyway Uncle. Life is short.

A lot of the Hawks players look the same, some in the facial structure but more so in the body, almost all Sam Mitchell like. And their hands smell like cabbage. Coincidence that they spend a lot of time in Tassie or more to it?

Shiraz de Wine Cask 2023 is a nice drop.

Will bring a smile to the dial, if the Giants can pull off a great win,

What I hate about him speaking is his delivery. He says every single comment like it’s THE MOST profound gem of wisdom we’re ever gonna have the honour of hearing. He must think we’re all hanging on his every word.

Nailed it @WalkingCivilWar. Len Thompson was the same back in the 1980's

bestest footballer at Melbourne this week."

If they insist on persisting with this absurd "stand" rule they at least must (i) make the guy play over the mark, or at least line up with it at some stage, AND (ii) call "play on" a lot quicker than they do.

Watching the GW$ v Carlton game - it is being played at a pedestrian pace; nowhere near the intensity and pace of the Magpies v Tigers Friday night.  Awful to watch.  (Didn't see the game from down south which I hear was even worse).

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
