The night hasn’t started well for a death ride. Hawthorn want this Harley Reid character more than we do.

Let's hope WC can beat them to the tank

Freo's guernsey is an abomination.

I think Freo has delivered more Guernseys this season than  wins 🤔🤔

Goodbye pick 4, we barely knew thee.

Don't worry this is the only easy game Freo has. They have a very tough fixture in the next 5 weeks, including us at the G.

Hawks are a joke

The annoying thing is they'll bring in CJ and Bruest and ramp up the intensity to have good optics against good opposition. We'll still win, but it probably won't be easy.

Probably right 🤮

My appetite for death riding this weekend was quashed. when I saw the hawks outs. I hate the Hawthorn footy club.

Hopefully normal service resumes next week and the Swans give Freo a touch up at the SGC.

Anyway, back to the game. I expect the Hawks to take it right to the Dockers until late into there 3rd quarter, and then pull on the handbrake.

Got that wrong.

We have punish the Hawks severely next week for making Freo look good.

I'm wishing for a 100-point shellacking.

Sydney are absolute trash at the moment, but surely they’ll give Freo a hiding.

Freo have beaten Hawks and Eagles and their win over the suns was due to GC choking. Not an impressive form line. I expect the Swans to beat them without too much trouble.

It is kind of funny hearing the love in the media for the way Freo played last night like it was a big achievement. Anyone can drive a car safely for 5 minutes, let's see them in a Grand Prix under actual pressure.

Season over if they don’t. You can’t make up 3 and 6. Not this year.

I think I'm out...it's too hard supporting one AFL team let alone another (the one playing Freo).

We will get a top 10 pick, can't see them making the 8.

Anything higher than 10 will be a bonus.

We'll be getting a pick as high 4 and as low as 7 imo. Unfortunately North, WC and Hawthorn are all but certain bottom three. Then from 15th - 12th/11th it's anyone's guess but I can easily see Gold Coast, GWS and Richmond finishing above Freo.

They have a terrible draw, have a flawed system, are playing without confidence and the players that left last year have left a big hole.

Plus there is pressure building from the outside and we know what happened to us in 2019 as the pressure kept building.

Not sure I'd label them trash given they kicked themselves out of the game against the best team in it atm without Paddy and Rampe.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
