Umps willing Freo over the line.

They almost gave that last deliberate to Freo to have a kick after the siren 🤬🤬

Hahahahahaha!

Kangaroos by 1 point!

Alistair Clarkson doing a pretty good job as coach so far.

Let's hope Fremantle finish in the bottom 4 of the ladder so we can get that top draft pick we should have received for Luke Jackson.

Fair is fair.

Freo needed 4 umpires to cheat and they still couldn’t get it done. Bwahahahahahahaha

Enjoy life down in WA Jackson

That was intense.

If Freo has pulled it out of the fire it could have ignited their season. Instead they're deflated and in big trouble

Huge game against West Coast next week.

This death riding is great fun i have to say.

Hahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahhahaha.

freo.

It was “paid” but deemed after siren which it wasn’t.

Sound is a funny thing.  All comes down to when the umpires heard the siren in their position.

Dogga is going to cop a hiding in the WA media this week. It's one thing dropping marks and having no impact, it's a whole other issue when a zip 2 team has their first pick tied up on the investment. Hope mum's lasagna is worth it.

The free was paid before the siren went. Freo should have had a kicki to win (or draw)

Karma I reckon. The umpires were a disgrace and had kept Freo in it all game.

Siren clearly went after the ball went out. I would be furious if that was us.

On the other hand Freo got about 5 goals from absolute BS frees that weren’t there so they can cry me a river

Norf deserved the win. Last 7 frees were iffy and all went Freo’s way. Umpires just went off the crowd noise. I’m sure 3 of the 4 wanted to give Freo the chance to win/draw at the end but somehow the right decision was made.

Feel bad for Jacko, don't think he realises what he's gotten himself into over there

We heard it in that order.  The umpires don’t appear to of heard it that way though. It’s going to get talked about plenty so we’ll see if it becomes any clearer in the next few days.

I posted after Freo got rid of 5 players to fit LJ in, that it could cause anger among the rest of the Freo list and also jealousy at his pay packet.

I wonder if this is happening.

Jackson smiling as he was walking off… terrible look, you’re team is 0-2 after losing to two bottom four teams to start the season. With their first AND second pick tied up in the deal to get him to the club.
He got his $$ don’t think he really gives two [censored] about his new team mates.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
