Baker and Dunstan just showed you all why they’re in the VFL.

Going to be a genuine toss up between Smith’s 2 year deal and Brayshaw’s 6 year deal for which one is worse

In the case of Bedford for GWS or Essendon

Mate what is the point. Just go do something else with your Saturday if you find these players all not good enough for your liking.

Starting to lose a lot of respect for Brisbane as a club. So many campaigners who are happy to act tough when they don't have to put their head over the ball. Lohman legitimately seems like a [censored]

Who was at fault there. I think Dunstan’s mark, but Tom is the forward. Communication needed at the very least

Dunstan has to call his forward in or out, he’s got the clean view of it. If McDonald didn’t list then it’s his fault

I’m enjoying the game and the efforts of the Casey and young demons. Even enjoying some of the older demons too

Casey are fun to watch.

Pity about McDonald. Playing really well and easily would have played next week had we won last night.

Weideman killing them in the ruck.

Chandler and Bedford just add so much zip and pressure around the ball. Please more of them at AFL level next year.

Tomlinson the general down back.

Great team performance so far. Two more to go until the big dance.

Lonhman kicks their 2nd goal and celebrates like they had just hit the front. Up & coming [censored].

Well why don't you say more about that in your posts and less about how you hate the Brayshaw contract or you think Smith's a dud.

Not a bad first half. Bowey was great and TMAC looked good as well. He is certainly enjoying himself. Casey players Munroe and White have been good as well.

"Gee Weid can kick. Come on bud, stay and have Jackson’s role "......Problem is the Weid doesn't get that many possessions at AFL level to enable use of that quality delivery - frustrating, as that is exactly what the 1sts need.....the strategy going forward for the 2's is so much more effective than the 1's - our first quarter last night was promising / fast and direct going forward rather than lh fwd pocket repetition.

Tomlinson and Disco have both been impressive - how about a TMac, JVR, Petty fwd line next season??? BBB insurance in the VFL.

Its a shame Bowey didnt play much more. So much better watching him today than Salem for the last 2 months.

Because Smith just gave up a really soft goal, highlighting how silly it is he’s got 2 more years and our season came up short because of crazy list management decisions that we seem desperate to continue

This is such a nicer thread to be on than anything else on Demonland at the moment.

Tomlinson has been immense. Just so much confidence in his role and his skills. Great to watch and makes me feel that if we did want to put Petty forward, Tommo will be great back in the backline.

Dunstan is great depth, and I feel for him that he is out at Casey rather than playing the 1s somewhere. Unlucky that none of our mids had an injury this year to keep them out. He really is a very good player.

Ellison and Grey are great players arent they! Just so good at this level and you can really see that they are at that slightly above VFL level whereas some of our other VFL players we've had this year (and playing today) do look like VFL players.

Bowey is just so clean. We will miss him in the grand final.

Chandler and Bedford have been good, but it feels like a loss having two guys who are clearly forwards having to play mid because of a lack of mids. I'd love to see any defender have to deal with these two deep.

JVR - just looks like he is going to be a great AFL player. We are lucky here.

AMW is an interesting one. There are moments where he isnt quite "there", but then there are moments where he just breaks the game open. Seriously could be a player for us. I just am not sure where yet. Is he a high half forward, a mid, a deep forward like Cameron.

Howes is still working his way into being a player, but there is enough in the time he has. He makes a mistake, but has the time to compose and fix it.

You seriously want to argue our season ended early because of the contracts we signed?

    TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
